City Hall Takeover

Ely and I ran through the city, holding hands all the way. We arrived at the City Hall, there were four creatures guarding the entrance, "what should we do next?" I asked my sweetheart, "We should round the building and surprise them from the back" Ely told me. She was so cool, she was acting like a soldier, she knew her stuff.

We tiptoed passing the guards from afar so they didn't see us. Ely was doing some signals with her hands that I didn't understand, "I don't know what that means cupcake" I whispered, "Me neither, but don't I look cool?" she giggled, "hehe, baby" I kissed her and then we both posed as if we were cops, "Ready?" "Ready!".

There we were at the back of the building. "There is a small window, I think it leads to the basement" I muttered, "Okay, we just need to open it" Ely replied.
We silently approached the window and crawled inside.
"Here we are, now, let's see if they are holding the mayor hostage" I said, "Very well, I follow your lead babe" Ely said.

We tried to sneak in without making any noise, we could see various monsters sleeping on chairs, tables, at the stairs and in the floor. I hold Ely's hand and we kept moving slowly. Tip toe, tip toe, we arrived at the stairs, we had to pass the sleeping creatures and quickly go up.
We hopped on the banister and climbed.

"Welp, we made it" Ely whispered, "Yeah, way to go cupcake!" I said, and we high fived while doing as little noise as possible. We hold hands again and took a step forward.
When our feet crossed the edge of the stairs, we realized we stepped on a string. That string of course, triggered an alarm.

WEEEEOOO!

The alarm screeched, alerting the entire top floor. "Intruders!" a big muscled rock monster shouted. Suddenly, five monsters surrounded us, our hands slightly squeezed. We knew this meant trouble, and what a big trouble it was.
