Everyone took their seats, and the bell rang. The teacher walked in. she was a fairy, although you couldn't see much of it anymore. No wings or anything. She was wearing a dark green skirt, with a see-through light pink skirt over it. She had paired this skirt with a peach coloured sweater. The half of Her light blond hair tied in loops around her head, one on each side. Most boys would agree that she was quite... beautiful. She started talking about what we were going to do this lesson. "hello class, I'm your teacher for this year. You can call me miss. Ileana. today we are going to have an introduction lesson, since it's the first one of this school year. I'm going to call each of you. If I say your name, you come to the front, tell your name, and your power. Got that? okay then I'll start with the one on the top of the list." Her voice sounded like music. Like one of those tunes that sound beautiful, but will stick in your head for the next couple of weeks. Miss. Ileana looked at the piece of paper on the desk, and called the first student to the front. "Artemis". A girl with dirty blond hair, wolf like ears and a tail walked to the front and introduced herself. After a couple of students, my friend calypso was called to the front. We had always been good friends. Our parents are very close, so we spend a lot of time together. As she stood in front of the class, she blushed slightly, and said: " hi, I'm calypso. I'm a healer. I hope it's going to be a great year." She rushed back to her seat, not liking the attention. Right after her, my name was called. The list was probably in alphabetic order. Anyway, I walked to the front, and introduced myself. "hello all, my name is Daniel, and I'm a distant wizard. I have the ability to enhance my physical strength." Happy with the reaction of the class, which was very nonchalant to be honest, I walked back to my seat. Another bunch of students went by. A lot of fascinating powers later, the teacher said a name I did not recognise from the entry list from a week ago. "Jordan" a blonde guy walked to the front. His hands in the pockets of his red hoodie. Even though I don't have any ability to sense the amount of power someone had, I could feel he wasn't an ordinary wizard. He stood in front of the class. His green eyes looking all knowingly over the classroom. Fully relaxed, he spoke out these words: " hello. My name is Jordan. It's nice to meet you all. My power is to nullify others powers, by overpowering them with my own magic." As he saw

the looks on some people's faces, full of disbelief, he smirked and walked back to his seat. Some other students like Jizel and Chantal came to the front, and after all the students had their turn, the teacher explained the next assignment. "okay class, what we are going to do next, is measure how much magic you all have. Follow me to the test room please." She waved with her hand like: 'follow me'. so everyone stood up, grabbed their bags, and followed miss. Ileana.

we walked through a big door into a big futuristic room, with big machines on one side, seven in total. On the other side were some battle fields for magic tournaments. The teacher called everyone together. "everyone, I need you to make groups of 3. Every group takes a piece of paper for instructions, and a machine. Everything else is explained on the paper. Also, please don't break anything, these machines are really expensive." Calypso walked up to me. without talking, we knew we paired up. We just needed a third person. From the crowd a guy walked in our direction. It was the blonde from earlier. Jordan, if I remember correctly. He stopped before us. "could I join your group? You guys seem kind of nice." I looked at Calypso. She didn't seem to have anything against it. She was, however, epically failing to hide her blush. Jordan didn't seem to notice it, or he just didn't care about it. I responded, since Calypso didn't look like she wanted to talk. "I don't have anything against it. and I'd doubt Cal has." He smiled. "I guess that's settled." We walked to a machine. Jordan already had an instruction with him. I didn't notice him going away, so he probably already had it with him when he approached us. He reads it out loud, so we know what's on it too. "place your hand onto the pad in front of you, and pour your magic into the machine. You will see a number between the 0 and 100 on the screen above the pad. Write this number on this paper. This number is the score of your magic, which you will be rated on, with tournaments and assignments." He muttered something under his breath that sounded like 'so if I score around 40 I'll be somewhat normal...' I ignored it and went up first. "so I'll just have to put my hand here and let my magic flow into the machine, right?" I didn't wait for an answer. I put my hand onto the pad and let my magic flow through my arm into the machine. The pad changed colour, a sign magic is present. The number on the screen went up to 38. I pulled my hand of the pad, trying hard not to fall over. Jordan wrote the number on the piece of paper in his hand. Exhausted I walked to the others. I used all of my magic for that one. I sat on the ground to rest. Calypso looked worried. "are you alright Dan? Want me to heal you?" I waved her off. "no, I'll manage. You go get yourself a high number." She nodded. Walking to the pad, she prepared herself to use a big amount of magic. She put her hand onto the pad, and let her magic flow through the machine. The pad changed colour again, and the number on the screen raised to 47. Jordan writes it onto the paper. She looked really pale. I grabbed my bag an pulled out a bottle of water for her. She reached out for the bottle, grabbed it, and drank from it. she muttered a silent thanks to me, and took place beside me. I notice Jordan looking at us through the corner of his eye. He gave the paper to us, and walked to the machine. "I guess it's my turn now." He placed his hand onto the pad, and covered his left eye with his other hand. I wondered why he did that. Maybe a side effect of his magic? Jordan let his magic flow through the machine. It didn't look like he was putting any effort into it though. He stood there relaxed, fully in control of his magic output. The screen eventually stopped on 59. He didn't seem satisfied with it, but walked back anyway. I wrote the number down on the paper, and passed it back to Jordan. He didn't really seem to be exhausted like me and Cal. It was weird. He was weird. I became curious why. Maybe I'll ask him during lunch break. I'm not sure if he will tell, but you'll never know if you didn't try. The teacher called us together. "class, you will have some free time, because most of you seem to be out of energy. I will see you in 2 hours for science class. You're dismissed." The bell rang. We all walked out of the room.

I walked to the cafeteria with calypso to get some food. We sat down at a table. "hey Cal. Did you notice something off with that Jordan?" calypso looked like she wanted to talk about that too. "yeah... he didn't even show any signs of exhaustion after he used magic, that was greater than yours, or mine! And why did he block his eye like that? I don't get it..." I nodded. "I suspect he's holding back. That he's far stronger then he's letting others see. I figured we could ask him or something." Calypso's eyes grew large. "what?! Just ask? B-but what if he gets mad and kills us or som-" she got cut off, because a certain someone was walking in our direction. Jordan stopped at our table. "can I sit here?" calypso looked at me. "don't you da-" "sure." I got a death glare from calypso. He sat down at the opposite side of the table. He looked at us. "I figured you'd want to ask some questions."
