I wake up at the sight of miller sleeping on his bed, and Jordan leaning against the wall next to his bed, while reading the book miller was reading yesterday. The cover looks like it belonged to some kind of fantasy book, with cool detailing on the sides. The title reads: 'thorns and edges'. Jordan noticed I was looking at him. "good morning Daniel." I sat up straight, pulling my covers to the side. "good mornin'. That's an interesting book to read." He smiled, and showed a book that was hidden inside of it. "interesting indeed. It seems our sleeping friend was reading about hypnotism." He showed the cover. It was a small and thin book. The cover was red, and the title reads: 'perfecting hypnotism'. "He was?" I tilt my head slightly in confusion. He puts down the book. "yep. I was bored, so I picked up his book, interested of what it was about. When I opened it, I found that little book inside. Don't you find it kind of weird that someone with telekinesis reads about hypnotism?" he was smiling while observing me. as if waiting for me to figure out something. Then it clicked. "unless... he doesn't have telekinesis! But he showed his power during his introduction..." it didn't make sense. He was probably really interested in it. Jordan stands up and places the books back where he found them. "you know, there are lots of uses for hypnotism. You can't only use it for making people do things against their will, but you can also make people perceive things differently. Like," he looked at me, waiting until I finished the sentence. I opened my mouth. "making people see things that aren't there?" he smiled. "exactly." He looked over to miller, who was about to wake up. "you probably should act along with him though. He probably has a reason for hiding his powers. If he figures out we know, he might choose to erase your memory, or even kill you, if that's his intention." He winked at me. I understood. "and what about yo-" I got cut off by the sound of moving blankets. Millar sits up. "good morning guys..." he said in a sleepy voice. "good morning miller." Jordan replied, as if nothing had happened. He sits down on the side of his bed.Defeated, I threw my covers off my legs and sat up. "hey miller." He yawned. "how late is it...?" he asked, looking around for his alarm clock. Jordan smirked. "five in the afternoon, you missed the entire day of school." Miller, still half asleep, believed him, despite the upcoming sun out of the window. "wha...?" Jordan chuckled at the sight of his face. I laughed. "Jordan, you're cruel! Miller, its half past 8, we should get ready for class." Jordan frowned. "now that you mention it, don't we start today with P.E.?" he grabbed a piece of paper, probably the schedule we got. After seeing that he was correct, he looked at miller, then at me. my smile dropped. "aw crap. Why me!" Jordan chuckled. Miller pulled his cover back over his head. "give me 5 minutes..." Jordan was trying to hold back laughter. I looked at him. "what's so funny?" he managed to keep a straight face. "oh, nothing." I would really like to know what goes on in that head of his... he acts like he is watching a show that he watched before and already knows what's going to happen next. Actually, that may be more accurate than it sounds now that I think about it. Jordan was looking at me. "even though I can't read minds your face says everything Dan. And to be honest, I think it's more like 'I have seen so much movies like this everything is cliché' feeling." My mouth fell open. I looked at him. That was too accurate to be read form a face... Jordan stood up and grabbed some clothing. "we should get ready for class." I shake it off. "yeah..."
