At Dan's House

Dan and Phil walked to Dan's house, chatting about everything and nothing. Finally, they arrived at a cute little house, it wasn't particularly interesting, on the outside at least. It had a white exterior, with black framed windows and a bright red door. It's seemed to be about two or three floors.

Dan opened the already unlocked door, taking off his shoes by the front door and hollering a hello to his mum before  heading upstairs, Phil following close behind.

Dan's room was on the second floor, across the small landing from the stairs leading to the top floor. As he walked in, Dan dropped his bag on the floor next to the door and crossed the room to sit on his bed.

Phil walked in, and stood in the doorway, surveying the room. It wasn't particularly huge, but it was a nice size. To the immediate left of the door was a radiator, against which Dan had propped his bag against. On the top of the radiator was a slab of what looked like marble, a couple books and papers strewn across it. To the right of the door, pressed against the wall in such a way that it fit, but restricted the door from opening completely, was a long desk. Piled on top of this desk were a few random books, notebooks, papers, and overall crap cluttered in such a disorganized way that Phil wondered how on Earth Dan ever found anything.

Directly opposite the door was a single bed, nestled in the corner right next to the desk. Right above the foot of the bed was a window, which gave a stunning view of the side of the neighbors house. Across from the bed, in the corner opposite the door, sat what Phil figured to be Dan's chest of drawers, with another piece of furniture expertly stacked on top of it to hang his clothes. Next to the drawers was another window, with a decent view of the street. Directly under that was another set of drawers, exactly like the ones fro Dan's clothes, but covered in random pieces art materials, a couple blankets, you got the idea. The drawers seemed to be filled with stuff of the same sort.

On the wall that the door was on, next to the radiator and facing drawers was a book case, filled with books of all different sizes, lengths, topics and authors. In the middle was a black and white striped rug, nicely tying the room together.

Phil noticed that the whole room looked a bit like it was straight out of an IKEA catalog. It didn't look half bad though, with a cool grey, blue and white color scheme.

"Thoughts?" Asked Dan, bringing Phil back to Earth.

"Oh- um, I was just looking around your room." Phil said, to which Dan rolled his eyes.

"I know, you nincompoop. You weren't exactly discreet about it. I was asking, what are your thoughts on it? I know the walls are kind of bare, I've been meaning to get some posters." He shrugged

Phil nodded. "I like it. It's very... neat. Doesn't seem too busy."

"Thanks," Dan grinned. "You can just drop you're bag." He added, vaguely waving to where his was plopped on the floor. "Oh, and close the door all the way, please. I hate it when my brother just barges into the room." He explained.

Phil nodded and did as he was instructed, before sitting down next to Dan on the bed.

"Sooo.... what do you want to do?" Dan asked, looking around his room for anything of interest.

Phil just shrugged. "You should probably get packing, that's the entire reason we're here, anyway."

Dan watched in amusement as he saw Phil's face change from boredom to embarrassment. "Not that- I don't like it here or anything- I just- ugh. You know what I mean, right?" Phil stammered, looking at Dan for reassurance at the end.

Dan started to laugh. "Calm down! It's fine, and yeah, I know what you mean," he giggled, finding Phil's embarrassment pretty cute. "But you're definitely right, I do need to pack." He grinned and headed over to his drawers, pulling out articles of clothing from them and throwing them on the bed behind him.

//Greetings fellow humans! Wow, almost a month since my last update? What an improvement, right? XD Anyway, I hope you all had a great Halloween! (fun fact: my phone keeps wanting to change Halloween to HALLOWYEEN and it's kinda great) btw, what were you all for Halloween? I went as Morticia Addams and with my friend Roz who went as Gomez. it was great. Oh, and did I say that I would give you an explanation to my absence last chapter? I don't remember, oops. Here's the super basic version: so basically life happens. I was really busy over the summer and stuff, and then even more so once the new school year got started. Also, I learned that you can't update your story on wattpad on your phone unless you have the app, I think. idk if you can update it with the app, I haven't gotten it. Anyway, I usually update my stories from my iPad, but ever since the school year started my mom took it and I have no clue where it is now. I can still update from my computer, but that means that I have to text the entire chapter I want to upload to myself which sounds a bit weird, but it works. I usually forget to do that. but rejoice! I have been writing new chapters, I just need to upload them. that means that hopefully it won't take as long for me to update again, hopefully. I'm very sorry.

Please don't forget to comment and vote! Thanks, enjoy!//
