Peter pulled away and smiled at me. "Now do you want something to drink?"

I laugh. "Water, please." He walked to the fridge and came back with two bottles of water. He handed me one and sat down next to me at the table.

"I wish we knew if they were okay." Peter had a look of worry on his face.

"I'm sure they're fine. They've gone up against worse before."

He sighed. "I know, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything."

"Of course it does! Going up against twenty men with guns is a lot easier than fighting an entire city filled with aliens," I pointed out.

"I guess you're right." He took a sip from his water. "Shouldn't you tell your mom you're okay?"

"She was notified as soon as we walked into the building so I'm not going to go see her. Plus I'm not talking to her."

Peter gave me a confused look. "Why are you mad at her?"

"Are you kidding me? My mom's been lying to me my whole life! And now Tony has been lying too."

"What if they were keeping secrets from you for a reason?" I looked at Peter as if what he said was ludicrous.

"I don't care." I sighed. "Can we stop talking about this and go watch a movie?" I looked away from him and stood up, heading to the elevator. Peter didn't say anything but he followed me.

~~~
We watched an episode of Stranger Things before an alert went off letting us know the team had returned. We both sprinted to the elevator, desperate to find out what had happened.
As the elevator door opened to the lobby we could hear the muffled voices of people talking around the corner.
"Is everyone okay?" Peter said as we flew toward the group.
"Everyone is fine. I can see that you two are fine, but was Sarah fine?" Tony asked looking us both up and down.
"She was fine, except she might not sleep for a couple of days," Peter replied knowing I wouldn't answer him myself.
"Good." He looked down and awkwardly fidgeted with his hands, knowing I was mad at him. It was quite a sight to see him uncomfortable after being around him for awhile. He was usually very confident but him being unsure of himself was hilarious. I had to pinch myself to keep from laughing.
"All of the men from Hydra including James have been brought to a secure prison. As for Will, we have brought him here." Natasha says, moving out of the way to reveal Will standing with his hands behind his back. Steve was standing right next to him to make sure he didn't try to escape.
I tensed up at the sight of him, the image of him standing on the edge of the roof of the school as I fell still clear in my mind. Peter must have sensed me getting tense because he grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
"Why? He's just as responsible as the other men." I was gritting my teeth, trying to suppress the urge to pounce on him for everything he had done to me.
Steve speaking broke me out of my thoughts. "You see, that's where you're wrong. James said that he brainwashed Will, meaning Will wouldn't have been able to stop himself from doing what he did. If what James said is true, we might be able to undo what James did."
I nearly passed out when he said this, trying my best to absorb everything he was saying. I had spent the past week hating Will and the thought that he might be fixable had never crossed my mind.
"How?" I heard my weak voice say.
"Well, Tony has developed something that was supposed to be used on Banner if he ever wasn't able to be brought back from being Hulk. Basically, it would take Banner when he is Hulked out and put him into a deep sleep and sort of reset him, turning him back into his normal self," Steve explained.
"And you think that will work on Will?" I questioned.
"We're not sure, but it's worth a shot."
I looked over at Will, and for a moment I saw my old best friend. That is, until he saw me looking at him and gave me an angry glare. I was willing to take any chance to get my best friend back.
Just then my mom came into the lobby area. "Hi everyone! I figured you all would end up in the kitchen as soon as you got back but I came down to see what the hold up was." She looked around at everyone's face and could tell she had interrupted something. "Dinner is ready when you guys are done." She left and headed back to the elevator.
"Enjoy dinner everyone. I'm not hungry." I turned around and left.
"Sam, wait!" Tony called after me but I didn't turn around.
~~~

Fifteen minutes after I had gone back to my room I heard a knock on my door. I opened it to find an innocent looking Peter holding a plate with some pizza slices on it.

"I said I'm not hungry." I turned around and went back over to my bed.

Peter ignored me, closed the door and stepped into my room. "You're always hungry. Now eat." He shoved the plate in front of my face.

I gave in and grabbed a slice of pizza, taking a big bite out of it.

"Oww!" I yell, the pizza sauce burning the roof of my mouth. I threw the pizza back down onto the plate.

"Sorry! It just came out." He looked at me apologetically.

"It's okay, it wasn't your fault." I looked up at him and smiled, trying to make him think I was fine.

He was quiet for a few seconds before he finally said something. "So I know you're going to be mad at me for this, but I figured it would be better if you were mad at me than your mom." He looked away, not wanting to face my reaction.

"What the hell did you do Parker." I glared at him.

But, before he could answer, I heard my mom's familiar knock on my door.
