This is based on a writing prompt I found on Pinterest.

This is the prompt:

"Did you turn out the lights?"

"No."

"Then we have a problem."

So yeah. You and Luke are married and have a house and a little girl. And it's NOT a mortal AU.

----------------------------------

(Y/N)'s POV

I sat on the couch, leaning on Luke's shoulder. I wrapped the blanket closer around me and sighed. "Can we go to bed now?" I asked.

"But the movie just started!" He complained. "So no, we can't."

"SHHH!!!" Little Jaylene whisper-shouted.

Luke and I both shut up and returned out focus to the movie.

-------------

After the movie was finished, we put Jaylene to bed and went back downstairs.

"I'm hungry," I announced.

"So go-" Luke started.

"Can you make me food?" I asked cutely, using the infamous puppy eyes. He sighed and opened the fridge.

"Chocolate chip pancakes?" He asked, monotonously.

I nodded enthusiastically and he laughed at my childishness.

He mixed up the batter and turned the stove on. As he made the pancakes, I slid out of my chair and wrapped my arms around him.

"I can't make pancakes very well if you hold me like that," he said.

I made a face into his back and released my hold on him.

We were eating the delicious chocolate-y goodness when the lights flickered.

I looked up from my plate and asked Luke, "Was that just me?"

"Huh?" He looked at me with a piece of pancake hanging from the corner of his mouth. He licked it up, swallowed, and spoke. "Nope. I saw it too." He pushed his chair back and walked to the kitchen. He opened the junk drawer and pulled out a flashlight. "Just in case."

He sat back down and we finished our delicious snack. We headed upstairs to our room and got ready for bed.

Half an hour later, we were under the sheets and I was reading. Luke was on his phone, texting Travis about having a guy's day out.

Suddenly, the lights went out and I may or may not have let out a small shriek.

"Did you turn out the lights, Luke?" I asked.

"No." Came the reply, the sound next to me.

"Then we have a problem." I responded.

Luke grabbed his sword from its place on his bedside table.

I grabbed my (weapon of choice) and threw the sheets off my body.

I walked around the bed to Luke, who was closer to the door of the room.

He pushed the flashlight button and a beam of light illuminated a face in the door way.

The face was trying to hold back a laugh and fell over onto the ground laughing.

Luke looked at me, then looked at Jaylene.

"You-you shoulda seen-oh, that was amazing!" Jaylene laughed from her spot on the floor.

Luke dropped his sword and the flashlight and ran over to our daughter.

He started mercilessly tickling her and she laughed uncontrollably.

"Daddy-stop-no-ahhahahah!"

I put my (w/o/c) back on my table and walked over to the two figures rolling around on the floor.

"You two are so childish." I stated.

"Says the one who eats chocolate chip pancakes every night for dinner!" Luke retorted.

"Yeah-well-you-pfffffttt!!" I didn't have a comeback, so I just stuck my tongue out at him and stomped back to the bed, a smile in my face that refused to go away.

That night, our small family was happily cuddled in my and Luke's bed.

Jaylene fell asleep pretty quickly after she settled down (which took quite a while, if you were wondering) and Luke finished making plans. I stayed up a little bit later, memorizing the picture of Luke and Jaylene tickle-fighting. The smile on my face wouldn't go away and I fell asleep listening to the soft sound of two of my loved ones sleeping quietly.

I dreamt of my (mortal mother/father), step-(other parent figure), and Noah. They wouldn't go to bed for a few more hours. But my thought was of the day when Noah was born. I had visited my (step) mother in the hospital soon after she gave birth. I had Luke go in a few minutes earlier. Luke distracted them from me and three year old Jaylene entering the room. We slipped inside and turned the lights off.

([Step]Mother's name) had noticed us slip in, but she didn't say anything. ([Step]Father's name), however, didn't.

When we turned the lights off, I heard a very feminine yelp. Jaylene and I burst out laughing and I flicked the lights back on.

My smile grew on my sleeping face as I  thought of my (step) father screaming like a little girl.

I slept peacefully, dreaming of my families's smiles and laughs.
