Rory's POV
*beep beep* my alarm clock went of for the sixth time. Why does getting up have to be a thing? Can't I just lay in bed all day and skip school? I mean 6:30am is a ridiculous time to get up.
"Rory, out of bed...NOW" mum yelled down the corridor. I turn over and groan into my pillow before dragging myself out of bed and going to the bathroom. I turn and jump at the sight of myself in the mirror. God it's a good thing no one sees me in the morning, bed hair and smudged makeup -were I couldn't get it all of the night before- is not a good look. Just as I'm about to put my phone onto my normal play list my phone starts to ring, I don't bother to check caller ID because I already know who it is.
"Michael" I state.
"Rory"
"Is there a reason behind this call or..." Michael has been my best friend for 8 years now and he had a bit of a habit of just randomly calling for no reason what so ever.
"OH YEAH! Haha sorry, I stayed at my Nan's last night so I'm not to far from yours if you wanna meet and walk to school together?"
"Ok, meet you at the end of my road in an hour?"
"Yup" Michael said, popping the P "meet you there in a bit. Don't be late." I couldn't see his face but I could tell he was smiling. I roll my eyes at the phone. "Rory I know you are rolling your eyes at me" damn it.
"Why yes Michael I do know that you know that" I tell him. Of course he knows that. We can tell just about what each other are doing without even needing to be in the same room. I guess that's just one of the things that comes with our friendship.
He chuckles down the phone "but seriously, I don't want to be told of. Now hang up so you can get ready and being late won't be an issue" I roll my eyes again and we say our goodbyes. God that boy is like my mother sometimes.

"RORY!!!" Michael yelled when he saw me from down the road, he had a huge grin on his face and he started to pick up pace. Oh god. I know where this going. Before I had time to think about it any longer I was tackled to the ground by an overly excited teenager.
"Jesus Michael" I scolded him before bursting into fits of laughter. Michael pouts at me before joining me laughing. I push him off and stand up brushing of my clothes. Michael stands up to, he's not massively taller then me...only about 3 inches. Most people we know Michael towers over which always makes me laugh, he's like a giant.
I'm brought out of my thoughts when he engulfs me in a huge bear hug. I wrap my arms around him before stepping back and popping my elbow out for us to link arms whilst we walk. I look up at him, a smile tugs at the corners if his mouth.
"What" he says smirking. Damn it, he noticed I was looking at him.
"Nothing..."
"No really, why were you staring at me" he laughs a little whilst stopping and facing me.
"I was just looking at your hair really, it's faded a lot. When are next going to dye it?" The faded pink colour really was starting to look odd.
"I was thinking I'd do it tomorrow, do you wanna come help?"
"Sure thing" I give him a smile and we start walking again, talking about nothing in particular. I love that Michael and I can just talk about anything and not have it be awkward.

"Rory I'm telling you. If Godzilla and King Kong got in a fight then Godzilla would definitely win" I roll my eyes at Michael. He's been talking for the past ten minuets about monsters.
