Luke's POV
I shove my phone into my pocket and lean back against my car. The sound of a door locking catches my attention and I turn to see Rory and Michael coming out of her house. I nod lightly at Michael, who returns the small gesture, and then steal a glance at Rory who is furiously trying untangle her headphones. I shake my head and chuckle at her before walking round and climbing into the drivers seat.
Seconds later Michael and Rory get in after talking outside, I couldn't tell what they were saying.
They get in and the car falls into a comfortable silence. It stays that way until the end of my road, when I realise I have no idea where I'm going.
I look expectantly at Rory but she seems to be too engrossed in her song to notice and I don't particularly want to ask Michael for directions.
I clear my throat and look between the two of them to see if either of them had noticed that A)the car had been stopped for at least 5 minuets now and B)that I still had no clue where we were going. There's no response. I roll my eyes and decide to wing it, how hard can it be to find a bowling alley?
I drive for at least 20 minuets, remembering the way me and Rory walked yesterday when we went into town, I guess that's were the alley will be.
Why is there no sign posts anywhere? Then again, this could be going worse. I could be lost....
Ok fine, I'm lost. God damn it. I look over at the pair sat in the car with me and just like before, they are both zoned out in their own little worlds. What's with them? oh right, it must be Michaels parents....i feel bad for the guy. It doesn't look hopeful. I shake my head, I'm getting of the point.
I pull my phone out and text Cassie. At least I feel comfortable asking her directions, she's my best friend.
To Cassie:
CASSIE!!!! help! D-: I'm lost, Wheres the bowling alley?
Within seconds she replies.
From Cassie:
To cool to ask the people your with for directions huh? ;)
I roll my eyes
To Cassie:
Clearly. Now where am I going?
She texts me the directions and not long after we arrive at the bowling alley. I park and get out the car but Rory and Michael stay put. Have the really not noticed we're here? Oh god clearly neither of them are in the right frame of mind for bowling right now. But they seemed fine earlier, something else must of happened.
I'll talk to Rory about it later.
Rory's POV
I tap my foot to the beat of Damn It by Blink 182, completely lost in the song. I don't even notice we're there until Luke opens up my door and pokes me in the arm.
"Hi" I smile weakly at him. He chuckles at my random introduction making me blush.
"Hey, get Michael. I'll meet you inside"he speaks softly, his tone is laced with concern. I nod, unable to form anymore words. My voice still hurts from my outburst earlier and I'm tired from being hit with so any emotions. So much has happened within these two days. Two. Days.
Luke passes me his keys "I'll go and wait for you inside. Lock the car when you come, I'm guessing your gunna want to talk to Michael" he smiles sweetly.
"Thanks" I lean forwards and kiss his nose. My sudden action surprising both of us as he jerks back and runs his neck, his cheeks turning a deep shade of pink. Mine are probably the same colour as i sink back into my seat.
