Rory's POV
Michael slides across the kitchen floor in a pair of my fluffy socks he found.
"Someone's in a good mood this morning" I chirp, flipping the pancakes I was making. He growls as if warning me to not hint at anything to do with tomorrow.
"As a matter of fact, I am. And I'd rather like to keep it that way" his eyes glaze over slightly. I nod and turn back around. To be honest I'm surprised Michaels being so calm, so much has happened to him within these few days and right now, he's acting as if nothing ever happened.
"So, pancakes?"
"With chocolate chips in" I smile and scrunch my nose at him. He makes a satisfied puff and walks over to the living room, throwing himself on the sofa and turning on an episode of spongebob. I finish the pancakes and take them over and sit with him, handing him a plate.
"Remember we used to do this every single morning that one summer in year 5?" Michael turns his head and looks at me with sad eyes.
"Yeah, pancakes were the only thing you knew how to cook" he chuckles softly and takes my right hand in his, it wasn't a romantic gesture, just a way of comforting one another.
"Yeah. And after we ate we'd run outside to start our adventure of that day. Mikerowave and Rorkstar" I giggle at the silly superhero names we'd made for ourselves. Michael squeezes my hand and I turn to look at him.
"Everything's going to be ok isn't it?"
"Yeah, yeah it is" I smile at him and he relaxes. We turn our attention back to the moving picture in front of us and that's where we sit for the next few hours, no words being said, because no words needed to be. The only noise coming from the TV.
I know Michaels afraid, I am too. But it will work out in the end...I'm sure of it. We just have to wait to see what tomorrow holds...
