Rory's POV
I wait outside the front of school for Luke. Stupidly we never actually discussed where we were gunna meet or what time but as long as he hadn't already left I should be able to catch him. I look down at my feet, as always I'm wearing my black high top converse. I mean I have other shoes but I never wear any of them, just these. I'm brought out of my thoughts by my phone going of in my pocket.
From: unknown number
Hey Rory, it's Luke. Cassie gave me your number I hope that's ok. Shall I meet you outside school for this 'tour'? ;) x
I save the number as 'Luke x' and quickly reply
To: Luke x
Hey Luke :) it's fine that Cassie gave you my number, I'm actually outside school right now so meet you here? X
In no time at all I see that he's read that message.
"Rory, hey" I look up from my phone to see Luke standing front of me. He's smiling down at me as he's about the same height as Mikey, in his hand I see he's holding his phone with our conversation open. I glance down at it and see he's saved my name as 'Rory :) xxx'. I don't know why but the three x's he's put in the end of my name gives me butterfly's. I smile without realising, only noticing when I look up at Luke who's watching me and smirking. Damn this guys cute.
"Haha I was just...ermmm" I look around helplessly for something to cover up the fact I was starting to blush. God I'm so awkward.
"Looking at my phone are we?" The smirk still plastered on his face.
"No. Well yes. But...ummm. Hey look at the time we ought to get walking" I quickly turn on my heel swearing under my breath. Why?! WHY I AM SO AWKWARD?!? I hear Luke chuckle behind me.
"what was that Rory?" He's smiling at me with an eyebrow raised.
"What, oh. Nothing" I look down because I'm blushing. Honestly I'm not normally this awkward. I mean I'm awkward but not normally to this level. I look up at him out of the corner if my eye and catch him doing the same thing. He's playing with his lip ring using his tongue, fuck that's hot.
"So, how do you know Cassie" I ask. He gives me a shocked look, probably amazed I got a sentence out without stuttering.
"Well her grandma lives near were I used to live. In the summer when she would go and visit her we would play together" he shrugs and smiles "how do you know her? Wait that's a stupid question you go to school with her" he laughs at himself quietly.
"Actually I know Cassie because our families are close, we just happened to end up going to the same school I guess"
"Cool" Luke nods.
"So where do you want to look at first on this 'tour' " I use my fingers to air quote the word tour. Luke just shrugs.
"Well considering I know next to nothing about the area I don't know" Luke says shrugging again. I stop walking and look at him causing him to stop and look at me. I notice his eyes quickly scan over my whole body, starting at my feet and working their way up. I'm wearing a black skater skirt and a Blink 182 tshirt with black converse. I have straight blonde hair that stops at the bottom of my ribs, dark blue eyes and extremely pail skin compared to everyone else who lives here. That's something me and Michael have in common, we're both weirdly white for Australians.
"Well let's just split the town into parts. You've got the bit near the beach with cafés and stuff, the bit in the town with shops and restaurants and the school and the bit with all the houses and parks. Take your pick" I give him my best professional worker voice and use my hands like an air hostess making him laugh.
"Well let's go town, beach, neighbourhood?" Luke mimics my voice causing us both to burst out in fits if giggles.
"Yes yes right this way sir" I carry on the accent and curtesy before him gesturing for him to walk forward. He takes a few steps before I stand up and catch up with him. I guess all we needed was to laugh a little before we could be more relaxed with each other.

Luke sips at his coffee and looks out the window towards the beach. After searching the town and then walking down the pier we decided we needed a break and came to my favourite coffee shop. All if it's seats are different and quirky and the tables are all circular with different patterns and things on them, the one we were sitting at had post stamps all over it and we were both sat in large armchairs.
Luke catches me looking at him out the corner of his eye.
"What?" He chuckles softly, puts his coffee back down on the table and leans forward in his chair with his arms folded over in front of him so his elbows stuck out over the edge of the table. I put down my hot chocolate and copy his position making him smile and lean back a little.
"I was just looking at you" I smack my hand across my mouth "wait that sounded weird" I try to cover up what I just said it it was too late
"Haha, you were just looking at me?" A pouts a little and nods "what were your thoughts? You know, whilst looking at me?" My cheeks heat up
"Well, you know...errr" damn it I'm just gunna say it "well you know, I was just thinking that your quite an attractive guy. If your into that sorta thing" I gesture at him in general trying to out humour on the fact I just out right told him he's attractive. His eyes widen and his cheeks flush pink.
"What sorta thing?" He cocks his head to one side and smirks.
"You know. The kinda 'I'm trying to look kinda punky but I'm not trying too hard' kinda look . You've got the ripped skinny jeans and checked flannel shirt and pierced lip and your hairs like, kinda styled but it's still a little messy in that way that looks kinda sexy" I smack my hand across my mouth again. DID I JUST TELL HIM HE WAS SEXY?!? Shit!
"Oh I'm sexy am I?" Luke's smirk grows and he leans forward again.
"Did I say that? I take it back, wouldn't want you to get to big headed" I lean back in my chair. Luke raises his hands as if he was surrendering and leans back to
"Hey, play nice" Luke pouts before winking me. I roll my eyes back at him and smile. We pay for our drinks and leave.
