Chapter 9
~One week later~
Sophie applied to go to her dream collage a week ago. That's why she's been acting so weird lately when she's around Ethan. She didn't want him to find out because he was hurt when she left to go on tour for three months but imagine how hurt he'll be if she got accepted and had to move with Eddie and Patricia to be closer to campus for four years? Ethan came over to Sophie's an hour ago and when Ethan left to go get the mail...he found something he shouldnt've seen.....the acceptance letter to the collage Sophie applied to. He opened it up and after a moments of reading,he whispered to himself,
"She got accepted."
I have to keep this from her. I can't let her leave. Ethan thought inside his head. So he folded up the letter and hid it in his pocket. He ran back inside the house and upstairs to her room to see Sophie lying down in bed on her laptop.
"Hey,was their any mail for me?" Sophie asked eagerly. Ethan looked guilty when he looked at her smile,her wide smile but...he lied,
"No...I'm sorry."
"Oh...well,I forgot to break up with Austin. Be right back." Sophie informed when she walked out and drove to Austin's. Ethan pulled out the letter for a sec. As he looked down on it,he began to burst out in tears. Sad about the fact that she's gonna leave him again...but longer. Much longer.
~Later~
When Sophie came home from Austin's,she came in her room to see Ethan crying. She then asked,
"What's wrong?"
Sophie startled him which caused him to jump up quickly and to stuff the letter inside his pocket.
"Hey,Babe! Uh...I have to go. Right now. I'll see you in the morning. Come over and we'll hang out at my house?" Ethan suggested.
"Sure." Sophie worded looking puzzled as he walked out.
~Later in Ethan's room~
Ethan rushed inside his room and slammed the door shut then started to breathe heavily. He slid down the door as he's bursting to tears. When he pulled out the letter,he cried even more. Eventually,he stopped crying,then he hid the letter in his small box where he keeps lots of important letters and slid the box underneath his bedside table.
