Ethan had something really important to ask Sophie so he invited her over. A few moments Sophie had arrived and invited herself in then ran upstairs to Ethan's room to see him anxious and nervously sitting on his bed. When he saw her,he got up and greeted,

"Hey."

"Hey. What's so important you had to ask me?" Sophie ask. Ethan took a deep breath and expressed,

"Look,now that we agreed to be boyfriend and girlfriend forever,I was hoping we could be more than that..."

"What can be more than-Ohhhh." Sophie corrected herself as Ethan got on his knees,pulled out a ring and asked,

"Will you please marry me?"

"Marry you?" Sophie repeated looking nervous and feeling like how she felt last time he asked her that same question that other day.

"I'm sorry,I can't." Sophie answered walking out the door and outside to drive home.

Ethan entered Sophie's room to see her listening to music lying on her stomach on her bed. When Ethan walked over to her and sat next to her,Sophie took out her earphones and Ethan asked,

"Why did you say no?"

"I just don't wanna marry you. Why?" Sophie asked.

"Why don't you wanna marry me?" Ethan questioned deeper.

"I'm not ready to make a promise like that." Sophie answered.

"What do you mean? Ethan interrogated.

"I think that we should just be friends." Sophie replied.

"You're breaking up with me?" Ethan verified.

"I'm sorry." Sophie sounded before she kissed his cheek and walked out the room.

"Wait!" Ethan called out. As soon as Sophie walked back through the door with her arms folded,Ethan explained,

"I thought you promised we'll be boyfriend and girlfriend forever."

"I never promised that." Sophie commented.

"But,what-" Ethan began.

"Ethan,enough!! We're just gonna be friends. Nothing more." Sophie snapped.

"No." Ethan worded.

"No?" Sophie asked.

"If you don't wanna be my girlfriend forever....I don't wanna be your friend. I'm sorry." Ethan responded kissing her cheek and walking outside to drive himself back home...
