Sophia's P.O.V.
I sat there miserably. I got dumped by my boyfriend Jack today. He told me I wasn't pretty enough and that he was cheating on me. I sat there at the kitchen table eating with my dad. My mom had to work late. I heard a knock at the door. I opened it, the police told my mom was shot at a gas station robbery and is dead. I fainted.
2 MONTHS LATER
I walked through the school. I hate my life. I now live with my grandparents. After finding the burglar my dad killed him and is now in jail himself. I cry myself to sleep every night. I'm going through a deep depression. My grandparents are getting old if they die then I'll have to live in an orphanage. I now have self-esteem issues. In the last two months I went from straight A's to straight C's. Thinking of my horrid struggle I walked into the bathroom and cried. I hated the world.
Ethan's P.O.V.
I stared down the hall at Sophia. She was the prettiest girl I had ever seen before. Too bad she didn't think so. I don't know why she was acting so weird lately. I have liked here for 18 months. I even had to watch and suffer when she dated that jerk Jack. One day though she will be mine.
