Sophia's P.O.V.
We walked into the party just as Ethan said fashionably late. We pulled up to the party with abouto a dozen other cars. I got out and saw my old best friends car. Well I sure hope she doesn't confront me. If she sees me she'll defienetely expect me to start hanging out with her again. I'm not sure I'm ready for things to go ccompletely back to normal. I mean me and Ethan are just friends. Guy friendhsips aren't as complicated as girl friendships. Girls expect you to think about them ALL the time. Lets do this lets do that. And don't even get me started on drama and gossip. I'm defienetely not ready for girl world. Atleast I didn't see my ex Jack's car.Although he's moved on and I'm over him I still don't think I could have a conversation with him. Just I thought I was in the clear I looked closer at the house. OH. MY. GOSH. This is his party. I can't believe I never bothered to ask who's house we were going to. I didn't ask who was hosting or who would be there. I didn't ask anything all I knew was it was a party. He could have taken me anywhere and I wouldn't have been able to get help because I wouldn't know where I was. What was I thinking? Am I out of my mind?
Sophia: Um...I'm not sure if this is a good idea. Maybe we can go somewhere else.
Ethan: Why?
Sophia: Do you know who's house this is?
Ethan: Not sure. But my friend Zack said he was throwing his cousin a surprise party or something and wanted me to come.
I had met Zack's cousin before. He was always coming over and stuff. I thought for a second. He probably already knew about me and Jack and if he didn't he was about to find out. Anyway, he was basically Jack's little minion. He told Jack everything and Jack told him all his lttile secrets. Sometimes I would pry him for information. Zack was a little annoying sometimes but we had basically been friends. However, since me and Jack weren't an item anymore I knew my membership to his little "fan club" was revoked.
Sophia: Yeah I know Zack, he's Jack's cousin.
Ethan: Your ex Jack?
Sophia: Yep, that's the one.
Ethan: Oh. Well we can go if you want, I don't mind.
Sophia: No, I don't want to spoil the fun. Plus, who said I had to talk to him?
Ethan: Yeah, I guess you're right.
Sophia: And hey I'm not wasting my money. You know how much thisi outfit costs?
We laughed together and walked into the party hand in hand. He was so fun to be around. I truly enjoyed his company. We both look good we had decided to wear blue. I wore a turquoise peplum and some dark skinny jeans with blak flats. He wore a turqoise sweater with some blue jeans and black Jordan's. When we walked in all eyes were on us. We agreed to dance with each other for the first thirty minutes and last thirty minutes of the party. But for the rest no strings attached. Honestly, I didn't really want to dance with anybody else. I didn't really want to have to share my party time. We got there at 8:15 and we decided to stay until 11:30. I had to be home by midnight. Me and him went to go get a water and get our game plan together first.
Ethan: So, where are we going to meet up at?
Sophia: Um..I don't know how about at the couch.
Ethan: Ok. 11 sharp alright.
Sophia: Hey but umm..can we dance with each other sometimes after the thirty minuetes?
Ethan: Yeah. We'll look out for each other I'll help if anybody is trying something with you and vice versa.
Sophia: Great. But don't get with some crazy chick. I'm not trying to have to go off in here. I don't want to have to hurt anybody.
Ethan: Deal. He laughed. You too though. Now, let's stop being so paranoid and dance. We headed out to the dance floor and listened to music.
We danced to Talk Dirty by Jason Deluro feat. 2 Chainz. Then we did a mash-up of the nae nae and stoner. The we listened to all of me by John Legend. After we listened to some other songs.
We were having so much fun then he looked at his watch.
Ethan: We've been dancing for like 45 minutes already we should split up.
I was said to here him say that. I knew we had passed our limit but I didn't care. I already knew that but I pretended I didn't I was having so much fun. I didn't want him to leave me.
Sophia: Oh. Ok.
He walked away and started talking to some of his friends. Well at least he wasn't talking ot another girl. I danced by myself and talked to some of my old friends for a little while. I was having fun until I heard a voice I didn't want to hear.
I heard of a familiar voice behind me and spun around.
Jack: Aww...you came to wish me happy birthday I see you haven't forgot about me.
Sophia: I didn't know until I got here. Trust me if I would have known I defientely wouldn't have come.
Jack: Aww don't act like that you know you still love me.
Then he leaned in to kiss me I backed away. I could smell the alcohol on his breath. I scanned the room to search for Ethan. I couldn't see him anywhere. Jack grabbed me and jerked me towards him.
Sophia: What are you doing? You dumped me what about your new girlfriend?
Jack: Forget her, she isn't anything compared to you. You know you want this.
Sophia: I'm pretty sure I don't. Please let me go.
Jack: No. I'll never do that again.
He gripped me tighter and started pulling me upstairs.
Sophia: Where are we going?!?
Jack: Somewhere private.
I tried to run but he was holding me to tight. He was scaring me and I didn't know what to do I started panicknig. I didn't know what to do. I looked around again for Ethan. What happened to watching out for each other. I started crying.
Sophia: I'm going to ask you one more time let me go.
Jack: I said no. Now come on.
Sophia: LET ME GO! I screamed at the top of my lungs.
My screaming caught him off guard and I ran away. I rounded the corner and ran into Ethan. He was running. He asked me what was wrong and said he had been looking every where for me. Yeah right he thinks I'm going to fall for that? No, that's not going to happpen.
Sophia: Where was I where were you? I almost got....nevermind just take me home.
Ethan: No, not nevermind tell me who was messing with you?
I could tell he was furious. He started flexing his hands and tucking in his shirt. He searched the crowd as if he would know the culprit and there crimes just by looking at them. Suddenly a curious expression flashed across his face.
Ethan: Was it Ethan?
Sophia: Don't worry about it let's just go.
Ethan: No, I promised you I'd look out for you and that's what I plan on doing.
He walked away and punched Jack in his face. Then he said something I couldn't understand. I ran up to him and told him to stop. He told me to come on and walked out the door. I ran behind him.
Sophia: Ethan...
Cliffhanger! What's going to happen next. Is Jack going to follow them? Are they going to get hurt? What about Jack's friends? How will the sober Jack respond? Did Jack really mean what he said?
