Sophia's P.O.V
I walked into the house and put down my stuff. I walked upstairs and called Dasha. She told me she would be at my house at 5. I walked into my closet to see what I was going to wear. I picked out a white shirt, floral jean vest and a pair of turqouise jeggings with some with some white flats. I took out my bun and curled my hair. I was in my room watching Spongebob when the door rang. I told my grandparents I was leacing, jogged down stairs, opened the door and left.
Colby's P.O.V
I had to go with Ethan to the dinner. Otherwise it would look suspcious. But, I really didn't want to be around her. I know she's dating my best friend that just so happens to be my brother but my feelings still haven't changed. Oh well. As long as I keep it inside evreything will be alright.
Jack's P.O.V
I called my cousin Zack and told him to meet me at Red Lobster. I had heard about the surprise dinner. I had also heard about Ethan asking Sophia to be his girlfriend. Nope that's not going to happen. I broke things off so I can patch things back up. I can have her back whenever I want. Ethan's just a little problem a bug to be exterminated and I'm the exterminator.
Ethan's P.O.V
I was waiting for Dasha to arrive with Sophia in tow when I saw Jack. I was a little worried because I still remembered what happened a few weeks ago at the party. However, I didnt let it show and pretended I didn't know. Hopefully, he wouldn't start anything. But if he did, I was ready to finish it. I'm not goign to let there be any misunderstanding. Sophia is mine now. He had his chance. Now its my turn. I dont want him bothering us anymore. Just in case I walked over to the front door to walk in with them. I had been waiting for 10 minutes while playing Flappy Bird when I saw them walking towards the enterance.
Ethan: Sophia!
Sophia: Ethan! What are you doing here?
Ethan: Waiting for you of course.
Sophia: Obviously, she giggled.
Ethan: Come on, let's find a table.
Sophia: OK
Sophia's P.O.V.
Dasha: I hope you don't mind that I invited Ty.
Ty was her boyfriend. They had been dating for 11 1/2 months. There 1 year anniversary was coming up.
Sophia: No, I'm glad. Now you wont have to feel like the third wheel.
Dasha: Har Dee Har Har. I'm going to let that one slide since its your birthday.
As we rounded the corner, I saw about half the school. They all looked at me and clapped as I rounded the corner.
Being student council president I knew pretty much everybody.
Sophia: Looks like you invited more than just Ty!
Dasha: Maybe just a few more. But I didn't do it alone. Ethan may have helped a little.
Sophia: Oh, Ethan. This is so sweet.
I felt so happy. He worked so hard to make my birthday special. He's my knight in shining armor. I feel like he was made for me. He really does care. I can't believe it. All I could do was just give him a big hug. I turned to everyone and held back tears.
Sophia: Thank you so much for coming. You dont know how much each and every one of you mean to me. It touches my heart just to see all of you guys her. Seeing all your smiles makes me happy. I care about you all deeply and if there is anything I can ever do to help any of you just tell me. I will try my best to help you. I pray for you guys everyday before I go to bed. I have the best wishes for all of your lives.
Everybody just smiled and clapped some even cried. I walked around and greeted everyone. I mingled and caught up with everyone. I turned around just in time to see Jack and his cousin to walk in. Oh no, maybe he's just her to say happy birthday, For some reason I doubted it. I scurried away pretending I had to use the bathroom.However, I guess I wasn't fast enough since he still caught up with me.
Jack: Hey! Wait I just want to talk to you for a minute.
Sophia: Then what is he doing her?
Jack: What do you mean? The whole school is here!
Zack: It's cool. I'll go.
Sophia: Yeah, you do that. What do you want?
Jack: Like I said, I just want to talk. Look I'm sorry for what I did. It was a mistake. I hope you can forgive me. Maybe we can move on from it and....
Sophia: ...and become friends. Look Jack we both know I have a boyfriend now. If you want to talk friend to friend and apoligize, then I'm willing to listen. Other then that, I dont have the time.
Jack: Come on. You know you still care.
Sophia: Correction, you think I do.
Jack: See why you have to treat me like that?
Sophia: No, Jack.Why'd you have to tre at me like that. You didn't care at all until Ethan did. I'm pretty sure you dont now. So do me a favor and get away from me.
He was making me angry. I started to raise my voice and people gave me concerned looks. Ethan would probably show up soon. I wasn't sure if I should just move on and leave the situation or give him a piece of my mind. Just as I decided to finish what I had started Colby came out of nowhere and started screaming in Jack's face. Zack who hadn't strayed to far came out of nowhere.
Colby: BRUH WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM? WHY YOU KEEP MESSING WITH HER?
Jack: You better get out of my face. Your breath is kicking harder than Bruc Lee.
Colby: Oh so you got jokes?
Zack: Is there a problem?
Sophia: No Zack, and if it is it surely isn't yours. Come on Colby.
Colby: Naw, he's disrespecting me, you and Ethan.
I pulled him away. I really didnt want him to get into a fight because of me. However I had to admit that was pretty nice. Is everybody in there family like this? Wow, they are good people. I walked into a empty hallway and thanked him. I gave him a huge hug.
Sophia: Thank you so much.
Colby: You're welcome. I got your back.
Sophia: Yeah you'll make a great brother-in-law.
Colby: Ha! I bet I will.
We both laughed until we were out of breath. I smiled and looked at him. It's amazing how there always is somebody there for me.
Colby: Well we better get going they'll be looking for us soon.
Sophia: Yeah, you're right.
I waved as he walked off. I turned away and joined the party. I went and found Ethan and sat down next to Ethan. It was smooth sailing for the rest of dinner. This certainly was an interesting birthday.
