Ailani's POV
"Hey could you come get me from the airport? I'm waiting outside terminal D." I spoke into the phone to Mikael.
"Yeah I'll be there just give me a minute I gotta get dressed." He rushed.
I hang up and slipped my phone into my back pocket, waiting outside for Mikael to show up.
After we landed in LA, Cierra called up one of her hoe friends and left, she didn't even tell me bye or thank you for helping her get back home because if it weren't for me, she'd still be stuck freezing in Toronto looking for a way home.I probably should've listened to my mom when she told me that Cierra was no good, and maybe should've left her back at the Naval base I met her at.
Both of our parents were military officers, my Mom being a Corporal, my Dad a Captain. Her dad was a Sergeant and of course became great friends with my dad, but my mom had that motherly instinct and knew that Cierra would be nothing but trouble since the day I met her.
After we settled down in Pensacola, Cierra's dad was called back out into the field where he later died from injuries sustained by an IED that was planted in a truck carrying her father and four other troops, with my father included amongst the group of men.
After that, we thought that that was enough to bring us closer and it did. Cierra's mom and brother relocated to Pensacola where we attended the same middle and high school. Her mom wanted us to go to the same college, which sorta worked out when I moved to LA to go to an art and design school, but quite once I started to take my music more serious.
Cierra just came along for companionship, and feeding off of me since we've came. Her mother thinks she's attending UCLA, but taking courses online because she's "Too busy with work."
I guess mother was right, I probably should've ditched her when I had the chance, but now is my chance, so when I get home it's gonna go down if she's still there.
