I sat in my room staring at her varsity jacket.
She was always obsessed with varsity jackets and jerseys.
The funny thing is, she hates sports.
She only liked basketball.
She only had football jerseys because of her family.
She loved all the Chicago teams.
I think it's because she was born in Chicago.
She moved here when she was five.
She owned every Chicago jersey.
I sorted all them out.
It was nice she got to add her own jacket to her collection.
I smiled remembering how she got the theater kids their varsity jackets.
"It's no fair that only the sports kids get varsity jackets. Like we work just as hard as them." She ranted to me.
"But I let you wear mine." I fake pouted.
"I know and I love you for that. But we work hard and barely get any recognition." She said.
"Unless you talk to Williams, you can keep wearing mine." I said.
"I'm going to." She said confidently.
"You're not." I said.
"I will." She said.
"Bet?" I asked.
"Bet." She said.
She walked back into the school straight into the principal's office.
Twenty minutes later, she came out.
"Success!" She exclaimed.
"Really?" I asked in shock.
"Yup. He's called the sports shop and said he's more than happy to it." She said proudly.
"Why are you so stubborn?" I asked.
"You love me." She said kissing my cheek.
