Daniel's POV
Wait! Did I really just do that!? What if she doesn't like me!? What have I done!? This could ruin our frien-
"Yes."
"Wait, what?" I say, now realizing Destiny said something.
"Daniel, I said yes. I would love to be your girlfriend."
Oh. My. Gosh. Destiny said yes!!!! I cannot believe it. I feel a wave of relief wash over me. I stand up from her bed and wrap my arms around her. She lays her head on my shoulder and we stay that way for a few minutes. We lay back down on the bed and I can finally breathe properly. We joke around and talk for another hour or so before my phone goes off. I check to see who it is and see that it is Lily.
Lily: Daniel! I need you back here right now! It is an hour to curfew and I need your help in the kitchen. Get here NOW!
Daniel: ugh. Fine. I'm omw.
"Destiny, I gotta go. Lily is freaking out. Can you drive me back?"
"Sure. Let me put on my shoes. I'll meet you out front."
I walk down the stairs and slip on my shoes. I wait out by the car until I see Destiny walk out. I run around to the driver's side and open the door for her before returning to my side and getting in.
"Thank you, Daniel. Haha. You didn't have to do that," Destiny says.
"I know, but I felt like I should. Plus, I want to be a gentleman to you."
We ride the rest of the way to the foster home in silence accompanied by the radio. Every now and then I would look up to find Destiny beating her fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of the music. She always had a passion for music. It's one of the many things we have in common actually. It's one of the many reasons why I love her. She's beautiful, kind, funny, clev- what's going on!? My thoughts were interrupted when the car started to spin out of control. I look over to Destiny to see her frantically trying to straighten the car. She gives up and let's go of the wheel, but keeps her foot on the break hoping that the car would stop. We spin to the edge of the rode and roll down into the ditch. The last thing that I remember is that I said Destiny's name and then darkness overtook me.
