"What's there to do for fun around here?"

"It depends on your definition of fun." Usually my views on things were different from others. I considered going to watch a movie fun, others preferred to get drunk at a party.

"Are there any theme parks or carnivals? Those sorts of stuff." He elaborated.

"Yeah, there's a fair about twenty minutes away. There are really cool rides that keep your adrenaline going, I've heard." I said. I don't know when it was the last time I was at one. "Why? I never pegged you for the cotton candy and popcorn kind of guy."

"I lost a bet with the twins so now I have to take them out." Tyler was a sweet brother. You could tell that he was close with them. Not a lot of people were close with their siblings that were much younger than them.

"You should definitely take them to the fair. They'll have fun."

"Oh, so you are a fun person." He said.

"What's that supposed to mean? I'm fun...when I want to be."

Tyler and I were currently in the library finishing up the project. Through the time writing this project there was no social talking. I, as always, wanted to focus on getting the work done. Tyler did work however he liked talking.

"I didn't know that reading was categorised as fun." I ignored his words and stood up to graze through the library. Tyler followed with a grin.

"Reading takes you to another word. So yes, reading is sort of fun. But even I do believe that there are other exciting things to do." My hand found its way to one of my least favourite books. I liked classics but I preferred modern-set books. All genres were welcomed to my mind giving me a view of a different world.

"I guess there's more to you than books and studies." I frowned. You couldn't judge someone without getting to know them. Even salt seems like sugar. Looks can fool you.

"Once you get to know me, you'll discover my wild side." A small smile creeped up while I held the book in my hand. "Have you read this?"

He shook his head.

"What, you don't read much?" I questioned skimming my hand over the book cover.

"I read here and there but sci-fi is not too right." If I wasn't getting to know Tyler I wouldn't have thought that he actually read. "Do you recommend the book?"

"Hate it."

"Why?"

I stared at the illustration of the last book of the series. It wasn't that I hated the whole book. The ending was what killed me. Endings were supposed to be happy but that wasn't life.

"She died," I told him. "saving her city." I shrugged as if the death of someone was nothing. When in reality it was something, it didn't just end the person's life but affected other lives too.

"Isn't that an act of bravery? Sounds like a true hero to me. Would you rather lose a couple lives or one to save all those people?" He had a pretty good point though it didn't change my view on the novel.

"I think I'd rather have a happy ending." I put the book back on the shelf and scouted for a new book to judge.

"Write your own book then."
