What ever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same

Chapter 35: It's a...love bite

I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling with my headphones on. The beat of the song travelling to my ears as I got lost in my thoughts. Every lyric of the song having a deeper meaning behind it.

I closed my eyes for a couple of seconds then fluttered them open meeting beautiful brown orbs.

I blinked back at him as he pecked my lips. We stared at each other for a while before he laid down next to me. I took off my headphones and turned on my side.

"What are you listening to?"

"Your playlist." He smirked in amusement.

"How's it?"

"I still don't understand you're preference on hip hop and rap. No matter how many times I listen to it I still don't get it."

"The same way I don't understand how you like pop music."

I rolled my eyes. "Jordan don't act like you don't like it. The other day you were singing to a JB hit." I stated.

He sat up, ready to object. "Because you made me." I've always loved the sound of his voice and would force him to sing for me.

"You could've said no." He never said no.

His body hovered over mine making sure not to squash me supporting his weight on his arm.

"I could've said no but I said yes."

"You had no choice."

"You're right, I had no choice. If I didn't sing, you would've sung and all the glasses in the house would be shattered."

I gasped and attempted him to push him off me. He stayed like a solid rock staring down at me.

I licked my lips and his eyes darted to them. He looked back at my eyes before ducking his head tracing feather kisses along my jaw. I closed my eyes once more letting him work his magic. He soon found his way to my lips and pressed his against mine.

I responded back bringing him closer to me with his neck while my other hand lingered in his hair. His hand grabbed my waist keep me still underneath him.

My heart accelerated as each second passed. The tension between us became less the more I reminded myself who was with me.

I know since the incident that occurred at Kyle's he's become more cautious. He still thinks that I'm scarred from that night when in actual fact I put the thought at the back of my mind. I didn't want to recall a single moment of that night. Jordan needed to know that one incident isn't going to change things between us.

I was about to deepen the kiss when Jordan detached. He seemed to be in his own world.

"What's wrong?" I frowned, concerned.

He shook his head. I sat up and looked at him until he told me the matter.

He sighed.

"I was just from a session and...and my therapist came up with a theory that my night terrors are based off real life events. I mean they feel so real that she could be right. It makes sense." He spoke fiddling with the ends of his hair.

"It could be. The other day you told me about that family, the women, the kids...him." There was a moment of silence until Jordan spoke. "And it seemed like something that could've happened."
