If it no longer resonates with who you are, it no longer exists in your life
Chapter 50: Feminism could go stuff itself
We all lived in a world with merciless people that found leisure in hurting others. Jordan's father being under the list of those who should be locked up for life. But now he was free roaming the streets without a leash on him and he loathed that.
The first time he visited him was intended to be the last. So why was Jordan sitting across him once again? This time with no glass to stop him from punching Micheal. He'd broken his family leaving them to repair the damage. Yet he wasn't done at that. The bastard had now taken Ray away from him and he thought he could get away with that.
The police had tracked him down after a few hours of him being off the radar. He was taken to the station for questioning. If it was up to Jordan, he would've locked him up right away.
It didn't come to mind back at the prison when he scared Jordan with a threat. Now he wished he would've taken him seriously. He could've been more cautious and Ray wouldn't be gone. But in his defence, would you have believed someone who didn't trust one bit.
To make matters worse, Gavin was caught up in it all. It scared Jordan shitless knowing the both of them were in the hands of a criminal. One who was capable of murder, abuse and so much more. Jordan knew he fuelled up enough anger in prison to have the nerve to take them. He understood why Ray was taken. But why Gavin?
Jordan couldn't lie to himself. He knew that the time spent looking for them, they were getting hurt. He wanted to so badly beat the smirk off his smile.
"I haven't been out for even twenty-four hours and I'm already being interrogated." He'd said ignoring the interrogator's previous question. Michael knew he would be a suspect after shooting that boy. "Was this your idea Caroline?"
Cali was trying to restrain herself from reacting. Micheal wanted her to do that solely to piss her off. He knew she was on the other side of the one way glass based on a hunch.
"Sir, could you just answer the question." The police officer said. "Where were you yesterday between the times of four-thirty and five pm?"
"Well, I took a cab to a hotel after I was released. But soon left, opting for a motel because of the cost." It was odd for him having to worry about the cost of things. Prior to being put in prison, he was wealthy and money was the last on his mind. Now he lost almost everything in the hands of his ex-wife.
"Do you have any witnesses who can corroborate your whereabouts at the time of the incident?"
"Haven't you asked the prison?"
"They've claimed that you had already been released at the time."
"Does my cab driver count as an alibi?"
"Unless you have contact with them then no. Could you tell us the name of the hotel that you first stopped at."
"I'm not sure."
"What about the motel?"
"Not certain about that, too."
"Is there any reason why our witness claimed you were at the scene of the crime?" Nicholas moved away from the wall he was leaning against.
