Chapter 18: You're wasting sugar

I knew that he wouldn't stay away. That was one thing I was positive about ever since he started bothering me. Kyle wasn't one to give up. From what I've heard, he played his heart out on the football field. Although it wasn't the same when it came to dating. He never dates, period.

If I was blind and actually fell for him I know what would go down. Kyle would use me for whatever. Whether it be sex or for a quick make out session.

My prediction was that he was only interested in me because I wasn't into him. Think about it, guys like challenges, I was a challenge. To make things even more challenging, he was going to pursue a taken girl.

What confused me was, didn't guys have a bro code? The code for example, in which you couldn't go after another guy's girl. Why on Earth would he risk friendship to be able to say he hooked up with me(which was never gonna happen)? Kyle and Jordan weren't exactly best friends, they shared the same group of friends but I wasn't fully aware of their friendship.

At the moment Jordan was keeping a close eye on Kyle from what I could tell. They still hung out with each other because guys didn't hold grudges. On the other hand with girls, a decade later they'd still be pissed at you for clashing with the same shoes.

Kyle was a fly that never died no matter how many times you squashed it in between the curtains. He always managed to come back up with even more tricks up his sleeve.

He somehow managed to get my number and was spamming me non stop with messages. I don't know what he was trying to go at but I had a hunch that he wanted Jordan to see somehow.

The messages were filled with many things from his side initiating that we were vibing in some way. His master plan of a video didn't work so he was going along social media.

Many girls would be flattered to being continuously messaged by a guy, especially a football player. They would squeal if Kyle Snapchatted them, slid into their DMs and attempted to call. I was the opposite and wanted to so badly get rid of his existence around me.

But luckily his master plan wasn't working. I'm sure his group of friends have noticed that Jordan and I aren't on speaking terms. But I somehow doubt that Kyle knew because knowing Jordan he would want Kyle to be the last person to know.

It resulted in blocking him from all my social medias and even from calling. He has called so many times that I could say his number forwards and backwards.

Jordan and I? We were more distant than we've ever have been before. It wasn't all that dull for me. He gave me some space to heal but I didn't need space. I needed to be repaired. Repaired back to the old me just a few weeks ago.

Life was full of the unexpected. Especially when it came to friendships. The unplanned ones lasted more than the planned ones. Jordan and I's friendship was planned with our mothers bring best friends. That didn't matter because we had a choice to stay friends as we got older and never drifted apart.

Look at it this way, I never even expected to go out of high school with friends. As soon as it was the end of my sophomore I knew that leaving school with a friend would be tough. Now here I am friends with cheerleaders. Even though it wasn't planned, it was the best thing that happened to me.
