Chapter 20

Anna and Elaine come over later. I'm still in my pjs. Me and dad spent the day drawing. "Hey Stacy!" Anna and Elaine say. "Hey." I say back, then I motion for them to come in. Dad and mom are talking in the kitchen. We all go upstairs and they set their bags down on the floor of my room."So what do you guys wanna do?" I ask. Elaine, as always answers first. "Oh! Lets go outside.Maybe do like, I dunno cartwheels?" She says excitedly. "Okay.." Me and Anna say. But after we do cartwheels for a long time I feel way better. My eye still hurts, but inside I'm not hurting as much. After doing cartwheels and falling over a million times, we decide to go back inside to eat pizza, which mom has made for us. "Mmm! Oh My Gosh! This is so good!" Elaine says. Anna nods, then laughs. "Why, thank you Elaine" mom says. She smiles and goes into the living room to talk with my dad. "So wanna watch a movie?" I ask. "Yeah! Lets watch mean girls! I love that movie!" Elaine answers."Me too!" Anna says and pushes her glasses back up her nose. "Okay! Lets go!" I say. They get their pjs on, but I just wait since I already have mine on. When they finish changing we settle down and lay on the sleeping bags and watch Mean Girls. We try and pull a all nighter, but Elaine and Anna fall asleep at 2:00am. So eventually I fall asleep to, and think to myself, maybe life isn't so bad when Alice is out of the picture.
