"Hey Luke!" I say as I walk over. He waves but doesn't say anything more. Something's wrong. "Hey, are you okay?" I ask and sit beside him on the bench. He looks at me and says,"No. My parents got divorced." My heart drops. I feel really bad for him. "Oh, um, it's okay." I say stuttering, he looks at me and looks away like he wants to be alone. "Um, do you wanna be alone?" I ask carefully picking up my words. Silence. "No, it's okay. Hey thanks for coming over." He says and hesitates, then hugs me. I'm shocked but I hug back. "Uh, sorry If that was awkward.." He says. "No it's okay. I understand What your in." "I uh have to go now.. See ya around?" I ask. He smiles, a sad smile, then says,"Yeah. I would like that." And I wave and leave.
