I managed to get closer to it, and it walked towards me. There was a name imprinted on the leather of the horses halter. It said "Queen." Well that was oddly familiar. I got off Nikki, and went up to the horse, Queen. She took off at a full gallop, kicking dirt and mud at my face. I cringed when the dirt and mud hit my soft skin. Nikki tried to take off after the horse, but I pulled the lead, and she stayed put. Still in shock as to what just happened, I brushed the mud that managed to stick on my face, off my face. I hopped back on Nikki, and we headed towards the trail. I wasn't planning on riding bareback today. But sometimes life has other plans. The trail was nice and smooth. Pretty quiet, with the exception of a train horn in the far distance. I let Nikki go into a trot, as we got on to a more sandy part of the trail. And then I saw another person on the trail. It was Codey. Only like the HOTTEST guy I know. Too bad I'm wearing pjs.
"ALANA!" He shouted.
I galloped towards him. I pulled on the lead rope, and Nikki came to a stop.
Codey had a big, Chestnut horse, with a white stripe going down its nose.
"How's it going?" He asked.
I felt myself start blushing.
Don't screw this up, Alana!
"It's good." I replied.
"Hey, so I was wondering, wanna go for a coffee sometime? I heard the new coffee shop has KILLER tasting coffee."
"Yeah sure. I'd like that. It's a date."
He blushed and smiled, and galloped off. I did a happy sigh. I shook my head and went further down the trail. This was the happiest day of my life.
