a forest fire.
a thief in the night.
you took us away.
blew us out like a candle.
tsunami tides.
like a blizzard going strong.
ice cold & brittle
like a long-dead flower.
you need to water a flower
to keep it alive.
you needed to give us love
so we could survive.
but like summer,
we slowly faded away.
moved away from the safety
of our love.
take away the sun and all
you're left with is darkness.
take all love and all
you're left with is us.
lost at sea.
tossing between
