" hey babe" i hear a deep voice say as i am getting my book out of my locker. i smile to myself and turn around.
" hey Ethan" i say smiling at him.
" how was your sleep?" Ethan says leaning against the lockers.
" it was good how was your's?" i say as i close my locker.
" i got hardly any sleep" Ethan says looking at me.
" oh why?" i say looking into his beautiful brown eyes.
" i couldn't stop think about you" he says as a smile forms on his face.
i put my head down trying not to blush.
" you're so cute when you blush" Ethan says smiling at me
i look up at him and smile.
" ruby!" i hear someone yell my name from behind me. i turn around and see Tessa running towards me. we imbrace in a hug and she whispers
" why didn't you answer my texts i was so worried"
" i would rather explain in person" i whisper back
we stop hugging and she says " oh hey Ethan"
" hey Tess" Ethan says with a little wave.
" can we talk? alone?" Tessa says looking into my eyes,

" yeah sure, umm Ethan i'll be back" i say turning around to him then walking to a bench to talk with Tessa.
" so you and Ethan kissed at the party?" Tessa says looking at me.
" yeah in spin the bottle" i say looking at the ground
" did you like it?" Tessa says
i look at her and sigh " yeah i did, i really did" i say
" he's a pla-" Tessa says but i cut her off by saying
" no Tessa! he's not. if he was a player he wouldn't of told me what he told me last night, he wouldn't have treated me like a princess. he isn't using me"
" what dd he say last night then?!" Tessa says looking at me straight in the eye.
" he said that i'm not invisible and that he knew me since freshman year. he said that he has been interested in me since freshman year, but didn't say anything because he didn't want the fans to go mad. his friends knew who i was because he would never stop talking about me." i say looking at her.
she looks down and shakes her head " you don't get it ruby"
" what don't i get Tessa? just fucking tell me?!" i say getting mad
" he will fucking hurt you ruby! and the you will crawl back to me! like what happened with Matthew!" Tessa yells
Matthew is my ex, he played me about 3 years ago and he meant a lot to me
i look down with tears in my eyes
" you messed up Tessa" i say looking up at her.
" no ru-" she says but i walk back into school
" ruby are you okay?" i hear Ethan say as i walk past him but i keep walking
" ruby?!" Ethan says walking after me
i start to jog through the halls. i hear foot steps running behind m. i run out into the field and stop in the middle and just sit down and burst out crying. i feel someone sit next to me and lift me onto there lap. i hug them and instantly know it is Ethan by his cologne. i cry into his shower and he rubs my back and we just sit there in silence not talking just letting me cry into his shoulder.
i sniff and say " why did you follow me?"
"because i care about you" Ethan says into my ear
" i don't want to be at school anymore" i say looking at him
Ethan hold my cheek and says " then lets skip, we can just explore or go back to my place"
i smile and say " okay"
we both stand up with hand in hand we walk out of school.
" lets go down to the beach" i say looking up at ethan
" of course" Ethan says smiling at me
we walk down to the beach and sit on the sand. just looking at the waves crashing onto the shore, the birds flying around chirping, couple walking along the shore talking.
" do you want to talk about what happened with Tessa?" Ethan says putting his hand around my waist
" mmm lets just forget about that know and just have a fun day" i say looking at him.
" sounds good to me" Ethan says standing up.
" where you going?" i say looking up at him
" on an adventure" Ethan says putting his and out
i take his hand and he lifts me up, we walk along the beach to the rock area. i look around at the scenery, the waves crashing on the rocks, the beautiful blue sky connecting with the ocean. the sun putting a glistening shine on the light blue water.
" this is my thinking spot, i come here when i can't think straight or i'm stressing about school or when Grayson is being annoying ", Ethan says sitting on a rock.
i laugh to myself and sit next to him.
" but ever since i've been with you, i've been calm and not stressed" Ethan says lifting my onto his lap.
" Ethan?" i say looking to his eyes
" yes ruby?" Ethan says looking into my eyes.
" what happened with Imogen? like what really happened not the rumour?" i say looking at ethan
" the rumours aren't true, Imogen and i didn't work out because she was more interested in other stuff then me. i know that sounds selfish but she would never want to hang out so i gave up trying and broke up with her, she got mad spread a rumour. she put on a shy mask and pretended to not have friends. i didn't stop the rumour because i didn't want Imogen to think she got under my skin." Ethan says looking into my eyes.
" i completely understand" i say looking into my eyes.
" and people call you a player because you broke up with her and dated another girl a week later right?" i say looking at him.
he sighs and says " i thought that if i dated another girl i would get over her quicker but all it did is got me the 'player' name"
" i don't think you're a player, i think you are the sweetest guy ever" i say smiling at him
he smiles at me and i smile back at him
i stand up and go down onto the sand
" where are you going cutie" Ethan says getting down from the rocks
" i don't know"i say back as i run on the sand. i hear foot steps behind me. before i know it i feel someone grab my arm and spin me around.
i look into Ethan's soft brown eyes and he looks into mine.
" i have to ask you something" Ethan says looking into my eyes
" okay" i say looking into his eyes.
" do you want to go on a date with me?" Ethan says
" mmmm fine" i say with a laugh
a smile forms on his face, feel my phone buzz in my back pocket.

oh shit
" i'm sorry Ethan but i have to go i'll see you at school tomorrow" i sya looking into Ethan's eyes.
"it's fine, bye cutie" Ethan says as i walk away.
