Funeral Date: March 30th

That's the first thing I heard when I got into the car 2 days after my surgery. The doctors said I'd recovered really quickly and was ready to go home.

So, here I was. In a car, with my Dad, Hailey, and my Grandmother. We were traveling on the highway home (that was the only way). I felt scared and sad. I missed my Mom. The way she sang to me when I couldn't fall asleep when I was a baby. How she helped with my homework, when I was in 5th grade. She helped me get over boy troubles in my Junior year of high school. Now, I'm a Senior, graduating without my Mom.

My Mom won't be there when I go off to college or when I get married. She won't be there when I'm in labor with my first child. She won't be there anymore. Well,

I know she won't be there physically, but she will be there in Heaven.

The drive home was scary, so I hung on to Hailey's arm the whole

time. Her face was sad and depressed. Mom helped Hailey a lot too.

I learned that my grandma would be moving in with us, to help Dad around. He's going to need the help without Mom.

When we finally got home, I carefully climbed the steps to my room. When I did, all I saw was pure emptiness.

"DAAAAAD", I screamed. He rushed up stairs.

"What happened, Lily?", he asked.

"What happened to my room?"

"Well, since your grandmother is moving in, she needs a room. I decided to give her your room and you share a room with Hailey."

"Ughhh."

"All your stuff is already in there. It won't be that bad because you're heading off the college soon."

"True.", I said and walked towards Hailey's room, which was now OUR room.

I knocked and she opened. There it was. Every single thing I owned. I went to the window and sat down. I saw a guy watching our house and then just walking away, sadly. I wonder what that was about...
