Chapter Three - Old Friends

We talked for a while longer until Max's phone buzzed. "It's Warren, he wants his flash drive" Max said. "Yeah, good luck with that" I told her. "Why?" "Because Dana has it. Post-It" I said and showed it to her. "Great, now I have to go get the flash drive from Dana's room" She said. "We have to get it" I said and plugged my phone in, after all she allowed it to me. "Let's go Ronnie" She said and we left her room. "Let me out Juliet! This is so stupid! You are ridiculous!" Dana yelled after Juliet locked her into her room. "You can't get out now, Dana! So tell the truth, or rot in there!" Juliet yelled.

"Let me out Juliet!" Dana yelled again. "Let's find out what's going on" I said and walked ahead. "What's going on with you Drama Queens?" I asked, crossing my arms in front of my chest. "Is everything cool?" Max. "Yeah, I locked Dana in the room because we're cool!" She replied. "What happened?" I asked. "She sexted with my boyfriend!" Juliet said. "You seriously think she would do that?" I asked. "Why do you even care? You don't even know my last name" "Shut it Watson, just tell us what's going on!" I said. "According to Victoria, Dana would do anything to date a quarterback" Juliet said. "Victoria? Smells like shit!" I said. "She saw the sext and Zachary won't answer his phone. Once Dana admits it, she can go. Straight to Hell!" Juliet said.

"You seriously think Dana would do something like that?" I asked her. "Victoria saw it!" Juliet said. "Max, find prove!" I said to her. Max left and I tried looking to prove Victoria has something to do with it. "Come on Juliet, why would Dana do something like that. Dana wouldn't do anything to date a quarterback! Why would she want a jock anyways, after Logan I mean" I said. "Because Zach is the quarterback!" Juliet replied. "That's bullshit!" Dana yelled "I wouldn't want to date Zach!"

"Juliet, read this!" Max said and handed Juliet the e-mail. She read it and let Dana out "I'm an asshole. I'm so sorry!" She said. "You are and I hope so. I would never go for Zachary!" She told her again. "I know, I get stupid jealous. I owe you dinner. Still love me?" Juliet asked and Dana replied "And you'll do my laundry" She added. "Thanks Max, you're the Blackwell Ninja. Now let's see what Zach has to say about Victoria" Juliet said and walked off. "I think I saw him outside the dorms" I called after her. "Thanks" She replied and left.

"Thank Max, the flash drive is on my desk" She said, walked into her room and sat down on her bed. "So you and Juliet are best friends" I said and sat down beside her, while Max got the flash. "I guess so" Dana replied. "How did that happen anyways? You got like nothing in common beside a friend in elementary and... the Vortex" I said. "The Vortex isn't that bad Ronnie, although it seems to you" Dana defended her club. "Besides, how do you know about Clare?" She asked. "Give me that! Max, that is mine! You're not helpful, you're so nosy!" Dana yelled and took her pregnancy test away from her.

Max used her rewind power and we were back to the beginning of our conversation. "Thanks Max, the flash drive is on my desk" Dana said and sat down on her bed. I sat down beside her again. "I don't mean to be nosy, but I heard a rumor about you" Max said. "Who told you I was pregnant?" She asked and I was shocked. "Not important. They just acted like it was bullshit. I just wanted you to know" Max said. I wrapped my arms around Dana, comforting her. "It's like a goddamn reality show around here... Can you two keep a secret?" "Of course" The two of us said at the same time. "I... was pregnant. Was" She said. "Oh Dana" I said and hugged her tighter. I missed her as my friend, honestly. It still felt like she was my friend.

"Oh. What about the other...?" "Deadbeat Dad? You can catch him on the 40 yard line this Friday and it's not Zachary" She said. It definitely was Logan. "Sorry to pry. It's not my business" Max apologized. "It's okay Max" Dana said and lied her head onto my shoulder. "Call me whenever you want to talk Dana" I said and she nod "Thanks Ronnie, I'll think about it" She said and I got up and followed Max out.
