•Chapter 6• Reunited and Love

Third Person POV
The gang has been on the road for hours now. Driving passed Prescott was emotional for sure. But they understand they have to keep going. Tripp was driving, Conrad in the passenger seat, Elenor in the back with Carl, and Gabe and Clem in the very back seats.

They're all officially awake. Who knows how long this trip will be. Conrad and Tripp are talking about Prescott memories. Meanwhile, Elenor is helping out Carl (who is injured), and Clem is staring out the window while Gabe has quick glances at her.

"Ah shit." Tripp says. "Everybody hold on!"

He drives right past a fallen tree in the middle of the road. Gabe seems to recognize the tree immediately.

"Were close!" Gabe shouts.

"How do you know?"

"When I was kidnapped by that asshole Lonnie in the New Frontier, we both almost died when this tree fell right in front of our vehicle"

"Wow, good call man" Tripp replied.

~1 hour later~

Everyone is silent. Everybody is thinking the same thing. Just in a different way. Words are being exchanged by silence, it's spooky but calming.

Gabe notices Clem staring out the window. He really wants to be her friend, she seems really tough but he feels she has a bad backstory. He knows about AJ and The New Frontier but he can tell there is something she isn't telling him.

He was just about to talk to her until...
"Gabriel, is this the place?" Tripp asks.

"Goddamn you Tripp" Gabe thought. But chose not to say it.

"Yeah, that's the place"

"Let's go find your family :)" Elenor said finishing helping Carl.

The gang got out of the car. Gabe in the front running to the entrance, Tripp and Conrad behind him. Meanwhile Elenor grabbing her medical supplies. And Carl walking next to Clem.

"Shit." Gabe said when he noticed the junkyard was an absolute mess. //Yeah no shit ikr, but a bigger mess than before//

"My stepmom is good in a crisis, she'd know how to protect everyone" Gabe said shaking.

"Gabe!" An unfamiliar voice called out for most of the gang.

"Mariana!" Gabe's sister was safe.

"Oh thank god you're alright! Are you ok? Where is Javi and Kate?"

"We separated when that big group of Muertos showed up. We all got pulled away and I haven't seen them since" she replied.

"Fuck. Everybody spread out! Let's go find them together!" Mariana, you stick with me" Gabe said.

Tripp and Elenor together, Conrad alone, Carl and Clem, and Gabe and Mariana.

Clementine's POV
It's nice seeing families or friends reunite. It honestly makes me smile. I'm happy that Gabe and his sister reunited, all is left is his stepmom and uncle.

"Hey." I hear a voice behind me, one I haven't heard before.

"Uh...hey?" I reply back.
It was the Carl kid or whatever.
"It's Clementine right?"

"Um...yes, how did you know my-"
"Gabe told me"
"But wha-?! Gabe, he- what?"

"He's kinda a pussy if you ask me...he seems super dumb to" Carl says. I honestly was wondering why was he shit talking Gabe.
"Um...okay?" I really didn't know how to respond.

"He's not your boyfriend is he?" Carl asks.
"What?! No! Him and I barely met!" I yell.
"If you say so."
"Do you even hear yourself? Do you know what you're even talking about?" I ask with anger.

"Hmph. Whatever. But all I can say is...
...I'm not a pussy, I know girls like real men" He says as he begins to pick up my hand about to kiss it until we hear someone calling.

"Javi! Kate!" It's Gabe. He's found his family.
I have a small smile on my face. Like I said, it's nice seeing people reunite.

I'm just about to run over with the rest of the gang. But I'm caught off by someone grabbing my hand.

"Let's leave."

Fuck.
It's Carl.
I'm seriously starting to hate this kid already.

"What?!"
"Let's leave. He found his stupid family so now we can go! Just you and me!"

What the fuck...

"No. We're not leaving. You can leave if you want but I'm staying with these people. They've treated me well, so I owe them just as much.

"I'm not leaving without you" he tells me seductively.

"Um...."
I swear this kid is absolutely insane.

"No." I say, swatting my hand off the grip of his hand.

I then ran off to go meet Gabe's family with the rest of the gang.
Carl follows right behind me. //Not stalker way, he just followed her to the group//

Third Person POV
Gabe and his stepmom, Kate, were hugging each other right before his uncle, Javi, immediately hugged him.

He gave him literally one of the most strongest hugs ever. Everyone could tell how much Javi missed Gabe.

"I see you have some friends" Javi tells Gabe.
"Huh? Oh yeah! Here lemme introduce you.
Guys, this is my uncle, Javi, my stepmom, Kate, and my sister, Mariana."
"Also, guys, this is Tripp, Elenor, Conrad, Carl, and Clementine."

They all exchange hello's and everything. But they then decide to head back into the car. Gabe's families van was stolen. Of course, by the New Frontier. So they had no other choice than to fit in the car. Lucky for them, there was 3 rows of seats in the back.

Tripp driving, Conrad in the passenger seat, Elenor and Carl in the first half, Javi, Kate, and Mariana in the second half, and Gabe and Clem in the back.

Javier turns around to face the back seat where Clem and Gabe were.

"So Gabe...you gonna tell us about your little girlfriend?" Javi smirks.

"What? Oh! No, she's not my girlfriend Javi..."
Gabe blushes.
Clem puts her hand over her forehead of embarrassment.

"Mmhm" Javi says still smirking.

"Alright gang, let's make a supply stop before we have absolutely nothing" Tripp calls from the front.

"If I'm not mistaken, there should be a gas station about 12 miles from here" Javi says.

"Then that's where were headed"

Hi! I'm so sorry for not updating in 3 days! I've been busy with school and shit. But I'm on a holiday break and can update a lot more easier! Hope you guys liked this chapter! Lil drama going on between Carl and Clem 😏....
