Super High Ch.8

Aria

Okay. Today was normal enough. I went to all of my classes with Craig, had fun in Villains with Craig, ate lunch with Craig, and walked from class to class with Craig. I say it was a perfect day, but it's not over yet because I have my date with Craig.

"I don't know what to wear!" I groaned and dropped to the floor of my huge walk in closet.

"Where are you two going?" Diggy asked from my closet doorway frame.

"For a walk in the park and ice cream." I sighed.

"Okay. One, get up. Two, you're going to the park not a royal ball. It's not that hard to find something to wear." Diggy picked me up.

"It is if you're trying to impress someone." I pouted.

"Have you ever heard that the person makes the clothes, the clothes don't make the person?" Diggy asked sarcastically.

"Don't get smart with me." I snapped and looked at the time. Craig was going to be here in thirty minutes. "I have thirty minutes until he comes. Oh my goodness!"

"Shut up and here." Diggy said and handed me an outfit. It was denim high waisted shorts with a graffiti top, nude lace-up indie Oxfords shoes, a floral Lover snapback, and a royal blue varsity jacket.

"Oh my-- Diggy! It's so cute! Thank you!" I hugged him.

"You're welcome. Now, hurry up before I'm the one who has to open that door." He said before going into the guest room which was his room for the time being.

I quickly took a shower, shaved a little bit, put on lotion, got dressed, did my hair, brushed my teeth, put on eye liner and lip gloss, and sprayed perfume in twenty-nine minutes. As I grabbed my purse and phone, the doorbell rang. I gasped and ran downstairs to the door. I popped a piece of gum in my mouth before opening the door.

Craig stood there with a bouquet of white roses.

"Hello Aria. You look...wow." Craig gasped.

"Thank you. You look wow, too." I teased him as I took the flowers and placed the on the small table in the foyer. "They're so beautiful. Thank you."

"Not as beautiful as you though." Craig kissed my hand. I gave a giggle.

"Dad! I'm leaving with Craig!" I shouted as I closed the door. We left the building for Central Park.

"Wow. It's so beautiful here." Craig said.

"Yeah. Central Park is always nice. Especially when it snows. It's like a magical dream." I smiled.

"I hope so. Do you want ice cream?" Craig asked. I nodded with a smile as we passed by an ice cream vendor. Craig bought one ice cream sandwhich for us to eat. "Want to split one with me? Sorry, I didn't have enough for two. So I tried to make it romantic and share one."

"Of course." I laughed. We broke the sandwhich in half and enjoyed the ice cream as we walked and talked.

"..Ew. Did you see how crazy Sarah went when you picked up her pencil for her in Healing?" I scoffed. We were sitting on a bench near the lake.

"Jealous?" Craig asked with a smirk.

"No. She's not on this date with you." I smirked back.

"It could have easily been her, but she doesn't compare to your beauty. Your looks and your personality." Craig kissed my hand as I blushed. I leaned onto his shoulder as someone played their music from their car too loud.

"Boy you should know that your love is always on my mind. I can't deny it. I want you, I need you all the time." I sang softly.

"I didn't know you could sing." Craig said.

"I really can't." I shook my head.

"You can and you're amazing." Craig smiled as he grabbed my hand gently.

"I can't. I never could sing, just could carry a tune." I scoffed a little. "Can you sing?"

"Yeah. It was something my mom taught before...you know." Craig said.

"Are you gonna sing for me?" I asked. He didn't reply, but in response he sang.

"Baby, I just don't get it. Do you enjoy bring hurt? I know you smell the perfume, the make up on his shirt. You don't believe his stories, you know they're all lies. Bad as you are you stick around and I just don't know why. If I was your man, baby you. Never worry about what I do. I be coming home back to you every night doing you right. You're the type of woman that deserve new things. A fist full of diamonds, a hand full of rings. Baby, I just wanna show you are." Craig sang as he played with my fingers softly. It was so beautiful. He had such an amazing voice.

"Wow. That was amazing." I gasped in amazement.

"Thank you." He said softly and shyly.

"Have Jake, Ray, or Chres heard you sing?" I asked.

"Not really. Besides in the shower. I don't really like to sing for people, so you're the first one to hear me sing." Craig smiled.

"Yay! I'm special." I joked and we laughed together.

"I should take you home." Craig said and I nodded. We walked back to my penthouse with smiles on our faces. When we got to my door, I turned to face him.

"I had fun today, Craig." I smiled.

"Maybe we can do it again? But a more formal setting?" Craig asked.

"Are you asking me on another date?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Aria, will you go on a date with me next Saturday?" Craig asked.

"I would love to." I nodded with a small smile. I always smile when I'm with him.

"So can I have a kiss?" Craig asked.

"Nope. I don't kiss on the first date." I smirked.

"On the cheek?" Craig asked.

"Fine." I grabbed his chin so he couldn't pull anything and kissed his right cheek. "Goodnight Craig."

I walked inside and closed the door before he could say anything else. I went in my room, closing and locking the door, before freaking out. It was the perfect date! I can't wait to see him tomorrow.
