"Steve!" Diana yelled, bursting open the chestnut door to his room. "It's the first snowfall of the year!"

Lazily opening his eyes, Steve groaned. "Diana...Just give me five more minutes..."

"Puh-lease. This is the first time I've ever seen snow! It looks like a cloud!" She exclaimed, looking outside the small window. "It'll be so fun to play in!"

"Fine," Steve mumbled into his pillow. Leaning his head to the side he met Diana's gaze. "It's fun the first ten times you play in it, but it gets old. Fast. It's just some cold white stuff that—"

"Nonsense!" Diana ran out. She was so excited! She'd never seen snow before! It was beautiful.

Tugging on her boots she couldn't help yet smile. If the weather kept like this they'd be able to have a white Christmas.

"Okay, just hold on. Don't let go. I'll jump in after we pick up some speed," Steve said, gently rocking the big wooden piece back and forth.

"But what are we doing?" She inquired with a nervous laugh. "I thought we'd be...You know, jumping in the snow and stuff."

"Sledding. Three—" He took a huge breath.

"Two—" The air was clouded with fog from his words.

"One!" A huge gust of wind picked up, lurching forward, he pushed the sled down with all his strength.

Diana screamed in delight. It was pretty scary, but there was an odd thrill about going sledding. She gripped onto the edges of the platform. Her face felt as if the skin was peeling off, it was so extreme.

Steve jumped in after her. He softly moved his arms around her waist. "You like it?"

"I love it!" Diana shrieked. Throwing her hands in the air, she giggled. "Oh Steve, this is so fun!"

Steve held her tighter. Her hips were squeezed inward so hard she felt as if she could barely breath. Despite the uncomfortable situation, Diana enjoyed it.

Before the couple had a chance to make anymore comments, the sled turned around.

This time it was Steve that screamed. The sled kept going around in circles, and it was heading straight along the path.

Diana planted her fingers back on the small grips. She closed her eyes. It honestly felt so good, but she was getting slightly dizzy.

Steve hugged Diana tighter. "You're fine!" He yelled above the strong winds. "I'll never let you go!"

It was near convincing. Given the matter, she wasn't so sure. All she wanted was for this amazing ride to end—It  was weird, she loved the feeling, but Steve  seemed so on edge. As if anything could happen at any moment. Something told her this wasn't how normal sleigh rides went.

Gradually the platform lost speed. It was no longer spinning, just lightly swaying from side to side.

"That. Was. Awesome," She whispered in awe.

"That was rough," He corrected with a laugh. "Jesus, it's been at least three years since I've gone down this path. I didn't think it was this rocky."

"I loved it!" She said brightly. "What else is there to do?"

"Snowball fight?" He suggested, pulling himself out from the sled. "It's not nearly as exciting, but something tame would be nice."
