I opened the door for her and helped her out the car. She couldn't take her eyes off the place. We walked in hand in hand. "Reservations for King" I said . "Right this way please" the man spoke leading us to a private table. I slide the chair out for Jayda then went over to the other side and sat down. "You didn't have to bring me hear " she smiled. "I wanted to you deserve it ma" I said watching her as she continued to glance around. Her eyes were lit up and her smile was big . Her smile matched her beauty . She was beautiful with a go getter demeanor. "Are you guys ready to order drinks" a female waitress asked. "Yes can I please have some red wine" Jayda asked. "And you sir" she asked. "Just bring the bottle please" I said. "Yes sir I'll be right back" she spoke before leaving. Jayda looked at me smiling. "I know I look freaky but I can't stop smiling see watch" she said trying to stop but she couldn't. I chuckled at her goofiness. "Lamario tell me about your goals in life , like where do you see yourself 10 years from now" she asked . "10 years from now I hope to be married with 2 kids" my whole life I been wanting to get to the NBA and that's what I'm training for I'm starving for the greatest and I want it all I'm talking about a mansion at least 6 or 7 cars the kids the beautiful wife the dog all that" I said making her laugh. "What about you what's your goal" I asked wanting to know how her mind set was. "I want to be a professional dancer I've been dancing since I was 6 and really more than anything I want to go to Juilliard for it once I get my brother token care of I'll go there " she explained. I could tell it meant a lot to her by the way she lit up just talking about it. I didn't know her well but I believed she would get it. Our drink came and we ordered. I swear the whole night we talked and laughed until it started to get late. We ain't wanna leave but both of us had shit to do tomorrow. I pulled up in her drive way and opened the passenger door for her. She got out and I walked her to her door. "Tonight was the best night of my life Lamario and I'm glad it was with you" she said looking into my eyes with those big ass eyes that stare right through me. "Same I hope I see you again real soon ma" I smiled kissing her cheek. She looked disappointed and I already knew why. "Ma don't feel rejected i wanna take shit slow with you " I chuckled grabbing one of her hands. She nodded slowly putting her head down. I lifted her head up to where she was looking at me. "Imma see you later" I said . "Ok text me when you get home so I'll know you made it" she said before grabbing her keys from her purse thing. I let her go into the apartment before jogging back to my car. I would definitely be seeing me again. I ain't ever knew I could fall for somebody in one day. Damn thank you Jesus I said getting back into the car.

I woke up around 3:00in the afternoon. "What the hell" I thought getting up . I had to go and pick up Jamie from school in 30minutes . I took a quick shower and got dressed flat ironing my hair quickly. It was 3:25 when I finally finished. I left out of the apartment getting into my car. I powered on my phone for the first time since last night to see Lamario texted me. I smiled once I read the part when he asked if I wanted to have lunch with him. I texted back that I'd just woken up and I was on the way to get my little brother before starting the car. I pulled up to Jamie's school and killed the engine . I had to go in and get him since he was only in pre-k .

Lamario🤤: alright that's cool bring little man too he probably hungry.

Me: are you sure?

Lamario🤤: yea ma meet me at Azucar Icecream.

Me: alright see you then.

I smiled as a dude opened the classroom door for me. "Jayda!" Jamie said getting up from the carpet running to me. I picked him up . "Hey handsome" I said signing him up. "Hello Jayda" his teacher smiled at me. "Good afternoon" I smiled leaving out with him in my arms. "So What you do today ?" I asked . "I drew a picture of us for you" he said digging into his backpack once I put him in the backseat. "Of who" I asked getting into the car and looking back checking if he put on his seatbelt. "You and me" he smiled handing it to me. I looked at it to see sticks with heads . The one with hair was me holding his hand. On the other side of the picture there was a black figure half way in the picture. "Who's this" I asked pointing at the figure and showing him. "Oh that's mama" he said . "Well why did you color her so dark and why you only put half her body in the picture?" I asked concerned. "Because she doesn't really like me but I love her I didn't think she would want to be in the picture when Mrs.Woodruff asked about it I told her mommy didn't like pictures" he explained. "Mama does like you Jamie she's just sick right now" I lied . He nodded . "Can I keep this" I asked . He nodded and I put it in the glove department . I turned on some music and watched him threw the review mirror bobbing his head to the music. I smiled....

We arrived at the place Lamario told us to meet him at. I noticed his car was here so I parked not to far from it. I turned around to see Jamie sleep. I killed the engine and got out going around to get Jamie. I opened the door and shook him softly . "Wake up Jamie we here" I said . He slowly opened his eyes. "Where" he asked unbuckling his seat belt. "Ice cream" I smiled. "For real" he asked happily getting out the car and grabbing my hand. I shut the door and laughed. "We here to meet a friend of mine" I told him. "Who Raven" he asked confused. "No this is a guy friend" I said looking down at him as we made our way to the busy place. "Do you like him" he asked. "A little" I smiled thinking about Lamario. I opened the door and we walked in seeing Lamario sitting down in the far corner. He noticed us and got up smiling. "Where is he" Jamie asked looking around. "He's over here" I said as we made our way towards him. "Wassup ma wassup lil man" Lamario said sticking his fist out for Jamie to bump. He bumped it making Lamario smile. "I didn't know if y'all wanted to eat outside or in " He said to me. "Do you wanna eat your ice cream in here or out there" I asked Jamie. "Hmmmm outside" he smiled as if he was thinking about it. "Alright little man lets order then we can go outside" Lamario said chuckling at him. "What Do y'all want?" He asked looking at the menu above the counter. "I can't see" Jamie said jumping . Lamario picked him up and sat him on his neck . "What about now?" He asked . I laughed at them. "Ouuuh whats that" he asked pointing to an banana split ice cream with whip cream and a cherry on top. "That's a banana split" I explained. After we got our ice cream we found a perfect shaded table outside and sat down. "So what's your name little man" Lamario asked looking at Jamie. "Jamie I don't really like it because the teachers always thinks I'm a girl in the first day of school" he said eating his ice cream . "You don't like it? That's a good name matter fact that's one of a kind I ain't ever meet a man named Jamie" Lamario explained. Jamie smiled making me smile. I couldn't help but smile whenever I was around Lamario . "How was the rest of your night ma" he asked turning his attention to me from across the table. "Quick because I went straight to bed and slept like a baby" I said. "Glad I could do that for you " he smiled. I looked down at my ice cream for an excuse to blush.....
