I walked into my best-friend Raven's apartment and sat down in the living room. "Girl I ain't know who you were" she said coming from the back room with a flatiron in her hand. "You should lock your damn door then" I said rolling my eyes. "You work tonight" she asked going back into the restroom. "Yea" I said rolling my eyes. "Girl I got to tell you some though ! I met this fine ass man at the store today and I'm talking about he was fine " I said grabbing the remote. "Chris brown fine or trey songs fine?" She asked. "Both" I said. "Oh bitch I'm gone have to meet this nigga then you got his number right?" She asked. "Yea but I don't know if I want to call him" I said seeing what was on TV. "Girl what ? Why" she asked coming out the restroom. "I shrugged" Looking at my nail. "Girl you better call him you need a man " she said . I got up and went into her kitchen and into the refrigerator. ."I might , but it definitely won't be today I have to work" I said grabbing some chocolate covered strawberries. "Yea you are! Call his ass right now" she said coming into the kitchen and sitting in the chair. "No" I said biting the strawberry. "Come on what do you have to loose" she said. I sighed pulling out my phone and his card. "He got a business card too? Oh yeah put it on speaker" she said making me laugh as I dialed the number and put it on speaker.

Me: "Hey this Jayda" I said nervously

:"Shit just left the gym what you doing later?"

"Is she cute" she asked. "Nah she beautiful" I said looking down thinking about her smiling. "What's her name ? When did you meet her" she asked. "Her name Jayda and I just met her yesterday morning" I explained. "When can I meet her" she frowned. "Grandma chill we haven't even been on a date yet let's see where this date go and within a few months she all yours" I said. "When's the first date" she asked. "Tomorrow night " I smiled. "Do your mama know" she asked. "Nah I haven't talked to her in a few days " I said. "You better hope not bring that girl around your mama you know how she get" she said. "I think she would like her" I said shrugging. "Yea right".....
