I woke up to see Jayda still on my chest. I lightly nudged her to awake since today she had to meet my mama once again for business. Last night quickly came rushing back to my thoughts and I sighed. The thought of Jamie being alone made me cringe he was just a kid . She opened her eyes slowly looking exhausted . She had bags under her eyes as if she barely got any sleep. "Get up baby get dressed so we can go" I said as she rose off me and into the bathroom. Jayda had clothes here already luckily so we wouldn't have to go back to her apartment. I looked at my phone seeing my mama texted saying she was ready whenever we were. I sighed hoping she would have sympathy and be Polite to Jayda . Jayda came out the restroom an hour later fully dressed . Her blonde hair was in a curly ponytail.

She didn't have on any makeup nor eyelashes she only wore sun glasses to cover her bags a watch and hoop earrings. I sighed I didn't like seeing her so exhausted . I decided to dress simply in some sweat pants and a white t shirt with my Nike slides. We walked out of the apartment. "You hungry" I asked her. She shook her head no . "Baby you got to eat some" I said opening the car door for her. "I'm fine Lamario" she said aggravated . We pulled up into my mama drive way and got out. We walked up to the house and rung the doorbell. She opened the door and let us in with a polite smile....

"This way" she led us to the familiar dinning room where her glasses and papers sat as if she'd already been working on it. Lamario pulled my hair out for me and I sat across from his mother while he sat on the side of both of us. "Are y'all hungry" she asked . "No " I said shaking my head. "Has she eaten?" She asked. "No ma,am" he answered. She sighed getting up going into the kitchen. She came back a second later with a plate of pancakes and sausages. "You have to eat and have all your strengths if you want to win this" she said sitting the plate in front of me. I hesitantly took off my glasses and began to eat slowly mainly playing in my food thinking about Jamie smiling at me. I began to cry once again as Lamario pulled me into a big. I whipped my eyes with my arms. She handed me a tissue and I whipped my face and blew my nose. "Are you ready?" She asked putting on her glasses. I nodded . "I'm going to ask you questions and you must answer no matter how uncomfortable they may seem" she explained. After she opened her book. "Why was your mother arrested?" She asked looking at me. "She asked an under cover cop for crack" I said not making eye contact with her. "Do you have a job" She asked . "No not anymore" I lied. "Would you be willing to get a job before trial?" She asked. "Yes" I said . "What kind of childhood has Jamie had so far" she asked . "So far Jamie has had a normal child hood I make sure it's as normal as possible so that he could never want for anything he's in school he has friends he laughs he's never been hurt he has everything he needs" I smiled thinking about him. "And you?" She asked. My smile faded . " My child hood was-was completely different when I was 13 my father had his friends rape me right in front of his face my innocence was taken away from me at a very young age a year later he was murdered and still until this very day I miss him I long for a father figure to kiss my head and tell me it will be okay" i said not wanting to cry. She stopped writing and took off her glasses pulling me into a much needed motherly hug. I haven't felt the feeling that she gave me that moment in a long time and it made me feel like everything was going to be ok. Lamario looked at me as if he wanted to take my pain away. I felt like a toll had been lifted off of me and I had his mother to thank for that......
