5 days (morning) (397 children) (2 special)

It was time for another lesson. They had once again gathered on the sandy surface. The same man had come in front of them with his black board. This time it was written “reading lesson”. The children still couldn’t read it. The little girl touched her dagger wound. Last night the man in the lab coat had come with a syringe again. Because she wouldn’t talk to him he had inserted the liquid where her wound was. She had decided to call him WhiteCoat.

Once again the man threatened them with his gun, but this time he didn’t need to use it as much. He only fired it once.

The little girl had been exhausted. She hadn’t slept very well and she had seen a few children with blankets and she envied them a lot. She hadn’t been able to help herself, she had fallen asleep during the lesson. The man had asked her to read something he’d written, but she hadn’t responded. He had shot her leg.

“ARG!” She had screamed and the girl beside her had also screamed as some blood was splattered on her face.

“Now, read this.” He said. The little girl squinted through the tears.

“…d…do…og…” She tried to read. He lifted his eyebrows.

“Acceptable.” He replied tilting his head to the side.

She learned to read five letter words that day.
