Delta's POV:
We were still in the elevator and conjuring ideas on how to get out. Davenport was basically useless. Zadie had begun to feel a bit better so she was trying to help.

"Guys, there's a trap door." I realized. It was just like in one of those TV shows where there was a convenient little door on the ceiling of the elevator. "Mr. Davenport, be useful and lock hands with Leo to lift me up." I directed.

"That'll never work. To do that you-" Davenport began to ramble and make excuses.

"Just listen to the woman." Leo deadpanned. The two locked hands and lifted me up to the door.

"Crap. Does anyone have something that can unscrew these hinges? They're bolted in." I told them.

"I have a screwdriver. Could that help?" Zadie asked, pulling a tiny screwdriver from her pocket.

"Yeah, that could be what we're looking for." I said, sarcastically as she handed me the screwdriver.

"Zadie, why were you just carrying around a screwdriver in your pocket?" Leo asked.

"Do you really want to know?"

"Nah, I'm good."

I crawled up above the elevator and flipped some sort of emergency switch before carefully, but quickly hopping back down into the elevator. We could hear Tasha's excessive knocking on the door. "Leo! Delta! Zadie! Donald! Can you hear me?!" The switch must've worked because the elevator started moving. "Oh, finally!"

I had never been so happy to see that pair of elevator doors open and see Tasha waiting on the other side.

"Mom!" Leo said, as the four of us hugged Tasha.

"I was so worried!"

"I'm so glad you're okay." Davenport told her.

"How did you fix the elevator?" She asked.

"Well, it was incredibly difficult, but in the face of great adversity-"

"I shimmied up the shaft and flipped the emergency switch." I deadpanned.

"Oh, don't forgot Davenport's crying while you did."

"I coached her." He tried to make it sound better. "At least my sprinkler system put the fire out before it spread to the rest of the house."

"What about the lab?" Zadie asked. Davenport's face softened as we rode the elevator-that I just fixed- down to the lab...well, what once was a lab. Everything was burnt, blackened, and smelled of smoke.

"It's worse than I thought." Davenport said softly.

"The blast took out everything." Leo stated.

"I can't believe your own brother would do this. He could have killed Leo, Zadie, and Delta!" Tasha put her arm around us. "And you."

"My mission specialist desk." Leo looked at the broken glass and burnt desk sadly. "Okay, this just got real. I'm gonna hurt Douglas where he lives." Leo looked as he was about to leave, but turned around. "As soon as I find out where he lives." Our attention was drawn to Davenport who was examining their burnt-to-the-crisp capsules.

"Look at their capsules. There's nothing left."

"Even Eddy's gone." I added, motioning to the wall.

"Yes!" Tasha rejoiced. "Yes, he will be missed."

"He was my best friend."

"I thought I was your best friend."
