Zadie's POV:

I was rushing to lunch to finish my French homework that was due next class. When I got to the cafeteria, the gang was already sitting at our normal table. I didn't even get food-which was odd for me. I sat between Bree and Chase and across from Delta, Adam and Leo. I had my face to the table trying to figure out some of the words when I heard Delta ask, "Adam, what are you doing? Why do you keep making faces like you're taking a selfie?"

"Cause that girl Sabrina has been checking me out." Adam replied, causing me to look up from my paper with fear for Adam. Ooh, I think that's the girl in my chemistry class. Yeah, I don't like her. She's always looking at me weirdly.

"I'm sorry, what?" Delta glared at him, turning in her seat.

"Ooh, here she comes." Adam stood up. Delta looked to me with an angry shocked face.

"Try not to do anything...too harsh." I told Delta, looking back down at my paper.

"Hey, Sabrina." Adam greeted. "I couldn't help but notice you staring at me from across the room."

"Actually, I was staring at Chase." She responded. Oh, game just changed. I slowly looked up.

"Oh, no, you weren't." I mumbled.

"Don't do anything too harsh, Z." Delta repeated back to me.

"Chase, I wanted to talk to you about our chemistry project." Sabrina turned to my boyfriend.

"Sure, I'll do it for you." Chase shrugged. Good, because him and I are always partners. "Just give me your email and I'll send it to you when I'm done."

"No, I want to do the project with you." Sabrina clarified, causing Chase to near choke on his drink. "I need a partner and I was hoping you'd team up with me."

"Uh.." Chase hesitated. Why is he hesitating?

I leaned over and whispered, "Chase, this is where you tell her you have a girlfriend."

"Um..." He looked to me before nervously standing up. "Um, yeah, yeah that sounds great. Um, meet at my house after school?"

"Perfect." Sabrina nodded, walking off.

"Wow, that was awesome!" Chase smiled. Uh, why? He better calm down. "Nobody other than Zadie has ever asked me to partner with them before. Especially a girl."

"Yeah, cause they're all too scared to." Delta mumbled, as Chase walked off.

Adam grabbed his drink and poured it down his shirt, flinching at the ice. "What'd you do that for?" Leo asked.

"I'm trying to wake myself up." Adam stated. "If a girl likes Chase over me, this has to be a nightmare."

"Yeah, because you don't have a girlfriend of almost three years." Delta deadpanned, crossing her arms.

-The Davenport's-
Delta's POV:

Zadie and I had gone over to the Davenport's after school to make sure Sabrina didn't overstep...even more than she already had. Currently, her and Chase were on their knees on the ground putting together the molecule for chemistry.

"I can't believe how fast you're putting this molecular model together." Sabrina smiled.

"I can't believe you're still here." Chase smiled back.

"I can't believe Zadie hasn't killed you yet." I mumbled.

"You know what I like about you? Besides being charming and funny?"
