The One With the Orbs & the Play

Delta's POV:

Zadie and I were in the lab with Leo who was attempting to perfect his invention. I don't know what it was or what it did, but for Leo to be inventing it, it seemed dangerous. 

When Adam walked in, Leo stood up and told him, "Hey, Adam, attack me."

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I know how this works. First you tell me to attack you, I say no, and then you taunt me until I snap. It's not gonna happen." Leo threw a water bottle at Adam, causing him to yell, "Oh, it's on, little man!" When he got closer to Leo, two, floating orbs appeared and shot Adam, sending him crashing to the floor. "Oh, no! The Christmas ornaments are turning against us!" 

"Nope, you just got blasted by my newest invention: attack orbs." Leo informed. 

"What now?" Zadie asked, looking up from her phone. Did she get any of that? Wow, she really knows how to tune a person out. 

"When they receive a threat within 5 feet of me, they attack. They're mobile robotic body guards." Leo explained. 

"Hm, impressive." Adam pursed his lips and nodded. 

"Yeah, but have you ever thought of lifting weights or working out?" I sassed. 

"Whoa, that's exactly what I was thinking." Adam told me, as we high-fived. 

"Oh, cool, you got that boyfriend-girlfriend telepathy thing." Zadie laughed.

"I designed them to help protect you guys from Douglas and Krane. If I'm going to be a true inventor, I have to start making things without Big D. And, if I prove myself maybe he'll eventually let me be his business partner." Leo went on. 

"Right! Cause every billionaire needs an incompetent relative that brings nothing to the table." Eddy said, sarcastically right before Chase walked into the lab.  

"Speaking of..." Adam said, turning to Chase, and smiling. I knew what was about to happen. Who wouldn't? They're so predictable. 

"Hey, guys." Chase greeted. 

"Chase, why are you attacking Leo?" Adam smiled, standing closer to Chase. 

"What?" Chase asked, just to be pushed near Leo and shot down by the attack orbs. Adam went to high-five Leo, not thinking about the five feet rule. He was shot down again. 

"Do it again!" Adam yelled from the floor. 

"Ooh, Chase," Zadie got up from her chair. "Delta and Adam have a telepathy thing. I wanna see if we have it."

"Okay?" Chase stood up and crossed his arms. 

"Okay, I'm thinking of the class I have homework to finish tonight." Zadie then motioned for him to speak. 

"Is it Geometry?" He asked with an unimpressed look. 

"Whoa, we have it to." Zadie smiled, turning to me. 

"Z, it's written on your hand." Chase smiled, causing Zadie to look at the top of her hand. 

"Oh, would you look at that, it is." 

Zadie's POV:

It was later on in the day and I had to go to Tech Town, unfortunately, to see if my laptop could be fixed. I had tried everything I knew to do-especially control, alt, delete. I walked into the store to be greeted by Bree. 

"Hey, Zadie. You know we're not allowed to have visitors, right?" She crossed her arms loosely. 

"One: does it look like I care? Two: Do you really care? And three: I'm not here to visit; I need technical support."
