The One With the Face Off

-Mission Creek High-
Zadie's POV:

Delta never showed up last night. My guess is Adam came by and talked to her and they ended up talking the whole night or something like that. I was at my locker with Chase, when Adam and Delta walked in all giddy. 

"Hey, guys." Delta greeted with a smile. 

"Hey. You two are weirdly perky for...7:47 am, what's up?" I crossed my arms. 

"Oh, nothing. We just had a really, really good time-" Delta nudged Adam. "talk last night. We had a really good talk." 

"Okay, I was wondering where you were, but I guess it all worked out." I shrugged, happily. 

"Yeah, and when he went home it was way too late to come over." Delta informed. 

"You guy will never guess what just happened." Bree hurried over to us. "Jake Chambers asked me to go to the winter dance." She squealed. 

"Aw, cute." Delta smiled, happily. 

"Jake Chambers? The Jake Chambers?" Chase emphasized. Yeah, like he cares. 

"Yes." Bree barely said. 

"Who's Jake Chambers?" Chase asked. 

Bree rolled her eyes and explained who he was. "The only guy who's even talked to me since people found out we were bionic. Apparently, no one wants to date a girl who they think was unveiled at this year's auto show."

"Mm, you know, ever since people found out you guys were bionic, they've been asking when Zadie and Chase are gonna break up."

"Why?" Chase asked Delta. 

"Because a ton of nerds just found out that one of the hottest girls in school is dating the absolute biggest nerd of all time." Delta shrugged, as the four of us walked off when Jake went up to Bree. 

"Attention students: this is your principal, Principal Perry. Please report to the hallway where Bree Davenport is making a fool out of herself in front of the boy she has a crush on." Adam acted as Perry through the intercom. That was humiliating for Bree, especially when the whole student body gathered around her and Jake. 

"I'm gonna just go." Jake said awkwardly before walking away from Bree. 

"Why would you do that?" Bree angrily asked Adam. 

"Hey. If Perry were alive, she'd want me to do this."

"Adam, she's not dead; she's home with a cold." Delta corrected. 

"You don't know that. She could be dead by now and this is how I choose to honor her." He argued. 

"Well, can't you embarrass someone else besides me?" Bree crossed her arms. 

"I could..." Adam turned around and pantsed my boyfriend which caused a bunch of people to laugh. "But I'm better than that." 

"You should wear pants less often." I told Chase, grabbing his hand and walking off to class. 

-Davenport's Lab-
I was working on homework in the lab with Chase when Bree stomped in. "Ugh, Adam is such a jerk. I cannot believe that he embarrassed me in front of Jake."

"Yeah, you were doing just fine on your own." Chase shrugged. "Don't worry. I know the perfect way to get revenge. I have been working on an upgrade to Mr. Davenport's cyber-masks. Now,  they're cyber-masks and cloaks."

"That's not revenge; that's you being a nerd." I told Chase, causing him to playfully glare at me. 

"These perfectly mimic the face and the body of the person you're pretending to be. Now you can impersonate Perry and bust Adam." Chase smiled. "Here is how I redesigned the electrical infrastructure."
