Lucy's POV
We finally arrived at the airport in Mexico, where we met my uncle and cousin from my dad's side of the family.
"Jude, long time no see brother", says my uncle hugging my dad.
"Long time no see Viktor, I see you haven't aged a bit", my dad says hugging back.
" I could say the same thing to you, and oh my goodness little Lucy is that you?", he asks in shock.
"Hi uncle Viktor, been a while", I wave and smile awkwardly.
"Come here mija, it's been a long time you're aunt Martha is going to cry when she sees you", he says giving me a bear squeeze.
"Oh I'm fine thanks for asking Viktor", says Layla with sarcasm.
"I'm sorry Layla I just got carried away with little ol Lucy here", he says rubbing my head and giving my mom a hug.
"So is your son with you?", asks my dad.
"Yes he's right over there, Memo come here, say hi to your relatives and help us with their luggage".
He takes off his headphones and walks over to us. He stares at me and smiles. I smile back, even though I don't remember or know who he is.
"This is Lil Lucy, isn't it", he takes out his hand for me to shake, as I do.
" May not remember me but I'm memo, son of Viktor and Martha Diaz, it's been a while prima(cousin in Spanish)".
"Nice meeting you, again I guess".
"Hey tio tia, I haven't seen you in a long time", he goes and hugs my parents.
"Well now that we got to know each other again, shall we help with the luggage", he says grabbing a suitcase.
We walk out the airport then my dad started talking to my uncle about something. I couldn't make out of what they were saying, but it sounded important. My uncle nods his head and takes some of the luggage on the taxi.
"Wait what's going on?", I asked confused.
"This is what's going to happen, we're staying at your mom's brother's ranch for today and tomorrow we'll stay at my sister's house for a week then go back to the ranch for 3 days and spend our final days at my sister's", explains my dad.
"Wait, a ranch?".
"Don't worry it'll be fun plus your grandma is gonna be there", reassures my mom.
Nooo, not my grandma. She's the worst, I mean I love her and all but she gets to the point where I can't stand her. Looks like this vacation is going just great.
*time skip to arriving at the ranch*
"Brother, are you home", calls out my mom.
"Is that the milk man's, I hear Sonny", my grandma yells.
Great, I have 24 hours with her and this place.
"No ma, that's Layla your daughter", he says coming outside and hugging my mom.
"Been a while, ermano(brother)", she hugs back.
"Aww this can't be the little Lucky Lucy Ashley Heartfilia", he says in awe patting my head and giving me a hug. "Look at you, you're no longer little Lucy".
"Hola tio, good to see you".
"Lucy can you go get me some water bottles from the store it's right around the corner", asks my mom.
"Seriously, I'm not at my house yet I still have to do a chore".
"Please but before you go, saluda your abuela first", she commands.
