It was the next day, early in the morning before class. I walked towards the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey had just woken up

"At the time of the morning?" She yawned when I arrived.

"Yeah, please?" I say.

"Fine." Pomfrey let me in "No one's awake yet, though."

I yawned and looked down at my watch. It was 7 in the morning. I didn't know it was that early. I took a chair and sat down next to where Malfoy was. I suppose I might've fallen asleep, because the next time I opened my eyes, glowing light was pouring down from the long windows. And Malfoy was awake.

"Hey." He says, "I didn't know you would come. Especially in the morning."

"Well, we're friends, aren't we?" I tell him. "So, what happened yesterday?"

"That oaf, Hagrid, let his pet maul me," Malfoy said, explaining the entire story probably exaggerating every detail. He said it as if he were the only survivor of a gruesome battle.

I played along with it though, "Really." I arched an eyebrow and smiled slightly.

"It was horrendous, the beast..." Malfoy continued but I stopped listening and just dozed off. Before long, I realized Malfoy had stopped talking.

"Sorry," I say quickly, "I must've dozed off."

"Okay," he says

I check my watch and find that it's 9:30. I need to get to class...

"Okay," I stammer, "So it's 9:30 and I really gotta go, so, yeah, bye!"

And without saying anything else I leave.

The rest of the week was mainly boring, though Thursday was entertaining. Lupin was teaching us about Boggarts, creatures that hide in dark places and if someone went near to the boggart, it would transform into whatever the person had a fear of. It was defeated through laughter, and people would cry "Riddikulus" and turn the fear into something funny. All was well and fine until I was in line and started hyperventilating when a clown came out of the wardrobe. I was in the hospital wing for the rest of the day.

Malfoy actually got out of the hospital wing on Thursday, wearing a cast. Pansy was practically swooning. Daphne, Tracey, and I just ignored it. Though, Daphne continued to think that Malfoy and I should get together, claiming that I was jealous when Pansy was doing whatever the hell she was doing.

Two days have past, I've finished all of my homework, the first week of school done, and it's a beautiful day. Today also happens to be the first day of Quidditch practice.

I head for the pitch, dressed in my Quidditch robes and holding the Nimbus 2001 I received last year since Malfoy joined the team and bought everyone new brooms. With that memory stuck in my head, I end up wonder what we're going to do since the seeker has a broken arm.

I walk onto the field. Everyone's there, 5 goliaths of teenage boys, and Malfoy, hugging his cast. I'm the only girl on the team.

Marcus Flint walks towards me as I join the others.

"Hey Marcus," I say. "So what's the strategy this year?"

"Well for one," Marcus begins, "We're going to use Malfoy's injury to give us more time to train."

It takes a minute for that to sink in.

"So, we're going to delay our first game because of an injury that'll probably heal in a week," I state. "That won't work. The game's maybe two months away."

"Which means Malfoy's going to have to act."

I see Malfoy grin from behind Marcus. I know he enjoys acting, he's already performed a display of his acting skill ever since he came out of the hospital wing.

"Okay, so I suppose that means we don't have to train so much." I grin, "Alright."

We still had to train some that day, but it was more so that we could get used to playing Quidditch again. Malfoy began his act, sitting in the field, moaning about his injury as we played our best. It got a bit annoying, but I was okay with the overall play so I might as well be okay with his stupid acting job.
