I was dreaming. Harry and Hermione had wandered across the castle grounds, first, they had saved Hagrid's Hippogriff and then they had waited and watched before flying the Hippogriff to where Sirius was kept, breaking in and having Sirius to leave on the back of the Hippogriff.
I woke up the next morning in the Hospital Wing with bandages down my chest. However, as soon as I woke up, it seemed, Madam Pomfrey was there, stuffing a giant ball of chocolate into my hands and had a jar of some silvery substance in her hands. Before I could stop her, she took off my shirt and was dabbing this onto my scars.
As soon as the substance touched my scar I screamed out.
"What'd you expect?" She snapped at me as I quieted down.
It was painful, her dabbing this silvery stuff onto my scars. I remember Lupin. I really hope he doesn't blame himself for this. He couldn't control himself. And besides, I knew what I was getting into.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione arrived sooner than later, explaining what had happened when I was out. Harry and Hermione had apparently done everything I had dreamt about, using a Time Turner. The same device that Hermione had been using to get to all of her classes (because she had taken every class). And that Harry had saved us from the dementors at the lake, using a really powerful Patronus.
"So you're telling me that you wanted to stuff as much adventure as you
could into one night?" I say, painstakingly,
"Yeah, I suppose so," Harry chuckled.
I lay there for a moment, "So... Pettigrew escaped?"
"Yeah," Harry said, I could tell it was bothering him,
"Hey, don't beat yourself up about it." I tell him, "What matters is that he's left and we can't stop him. It's not going to help to blame yourself for not stopping him. We'll get him another time." I smile weakly,
"It still hurts," Harry says, "I was so close to living with Sirius, leaving the Dursleys—"
"Harry, what'd I just say."
He rolls his eyes,
Madam Pomfrey came over, "Alright, it's 20 minutes." she says, "Miss Hall needs rest. Now,"
"Of course." Hermione says, standing up from her seat and pulling Harry and Ron from theirs, "Well, see ya Aran!"
"Yeah, hope you get well soon," Ron adds,
"See ya," Harry says as the three of them leave.
Madam Pomfrey wouldn't let anyone else in for a while, but in the afternoon, Lupin himself came.
"Hello, Aran." he said, sitting down, he looked awful, I suppose this had been his worst transformation all year, "I just wanted to apologize—"
"You don't have to apologize—" I interrupt,
"Yes, of course, I do." Lupin says, interrupting me, "You're hurt because of me. I gave you a wound that's never going to go away. I can't imagine how you must feel, how Dene must feel—"
"Lupin, I don't blame you at all." I tell him "You couldn't control yourself, and besides, I knew I could've gotten hurt when I joined Sirius. And mum? You know my mum would never blame you."
"Yes, but maybe she should." Lupin says, "Besides, I'm resigning."
"What?!" I exclaim, "You're the greatest Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher we've ever had!"
"I can't risk putting anyone else at harm." Lupin says sadly, "And I'm sure parents don't want their children being taught by a werewolf."
I sigh, "So did Harry tell you everything that happened?"
