(Quick thing I wanted to mention. After last chapter, the story is obviously crossing over with episodes from the show. I just wanted to put the disclaimer out that I do not own Once Upon a Time or its characters. Okay continue reading)
Neal grabs a chair by the table and places it by the cupboard to reach up to the top shelves.
"Neal, what else could you possibly be looking for?" I ask.
He started moving stuff out of the way and looked farther into the back.
"The crystal ball showed me where my father is, now I have to get to him" he replies.
"Uh...I'm not sure you're going to find a horse in there, mate" Robin says.
I chuckle quietly.
"I'm not looking for a horse. I need a portal. A way to create a portal" Neal says.
"Okay, why don't you calm down and tell me what the problem is?" Robin asks.
Neal hangs his head down and sighs sadly. He then looks back at us.
"Henry is trapped in Neverland with Peter Pan, who is, hands down, the nastiest person I've ever most" Neal says.
"Wait, Peter Pan? You mean the boy who didn't want to grow up? What's so bad about him? Wouldn't Henry be safe with him? And isn't it Captain Hook we should be worried about?" I say.
My mind is jumbled with thoughts making me super confused.
"You don't know the true story Molly, and you haven't met the true Pan" Neal replies.
Despite me still being super confused, I dismiss the millions of other questions I had and got back on topic.
"But you mentioned Henry? It was your father I saw in the ball, not Henry" I say.
"Listen. I was in Neverland. Pan was looking for a boy, a specific boy. I know he had some picture of him on a scroll. He called him 'the truest believer'" Neal says.
"And you think that's Henry?" I ask him.
"It has to be. That's the only reason why father would be in Neverland. And I bet he didn't go alone. Emma, Mary Margaret and David probably all went too" he says.
I have no clue who the other people are but I do know who Emma is obviously. It looks like we won't be going home now. We're going to Neverland.
"Help me look. Lots of things make portals. Beans, magic mirrors, ruby slippers, some kinds of ashes" Neal says.
Mulan, Robin, and I all start looking and Neal continues to sift through the cupboard. He reaches for a cup when he reaches for it too far and it falls over onto the ground. A man from the doors we entered walks in.
"The hell was that?" he asks.
More men come from behind him and also walk into the room.
"Stand down Little John. We're fine" Robin says.
Looks like Robin even has his band of merry men. All of a sudden a young boy, around 4, comes out from behind Little John. I see Neal at him as he runs over to embrace Robin in a hug. It causes me to smile as well.
"Who's this?" Neal asks with the smile still on his face.
"This is my son, Roland" Robin states.
I wave a bit at Roland and he returns it with an adorable smile. Despite me never having kids of my own, I've always loved them.
Then out of the blue, Neal says, "I know how to get to Neverland."
****
Apparently Neal's plan involved using Robin's son, so he needed to get his consent first. He said it might get ugly so he suggested Mulan and I wait outside the room. A few minutes pass and nothing but silence passes between us. However, Mulan breaks the silence.
