Chapter 9: Forgiving, But Never Forgetting

I wake up suddenly as I feel a tap on my shoulder. My head shoots straight up as I look around. I half expected to be back in my room at the B&B, but I then I remember. I'm in the place known as the Enchanted Forest. I turn to see who woke me up it was Mulan.

"Is he alright?" she asks.

I turn to look and I see Neal still lying there. I also noticed how I was still holding onto his hand from last night. I pull it away.

"I'm not sure" I say.

I get up to look at him. He was still unconscious. I checked his pulse. Good, he was still alive.

"Still alive" I say.

I take a look at his gauze. Blood managed to seep almost all the way through it.

"He's probably going to need some more gauze" I say.

"I'll go get some more. Do you need any?" Mulan asks.

I turn to look at my shoulder. Not as much blood seeped through as it did for Neal. I slowly pull it off and take a look at it. The bleeding stopped, but it was still messy with the dried blood.

"Maybe just a little bit. Just some to wipe away the leftover blood" I say.

Mulan nods and then walks away. I continue to look around the place. I still had a hard time believing where I was. I still have a hard time believing that this all actually exists. That places and people from my childhood actually existed. As I continue to look around, I don't notice what was going on. I heard a gasp that caused me to whip my head back around. It came from Neal. He was awake!

"Molly?" he asks.

"Neal!" I yell.

I help him sit up a bit and once I do, I wrap my arms around him embracing him into a hug. It almost seemed that he was reluctant to hug me back though. I decide to pull away. He looked at me with a confused look and I try my best to hide my embarrassment.

"Sorry....it's just good seeing you not dead" I say.

Suddenly, Aurora and Philip walk towards us. Mulan also follows behind them towards us with the gauze.

"Is he well?" Aurora asks.

I nod my head at her.

"I believe so" I say.

Aurora picks up a glass of water and hands it to Neal.

"Drink, you must be thirsty" she says.

She holds the glass up to his mouth and helps him drink the water.

"Where am I?" Neal asks.

"You're in our kingdom" Aurora replies.

"Where's your kingdom?" Neal asks.

I place my hand on Neal's hand to reassure him for what I'm about to say, considering I don't know of he's aware of this place or not.

"Neal, when we went though that portal, we ended up in this place. It's known as the enchanted forest" I say.

A look of shock crosses Neal's face and he's speechless.

"I know....I didn't believe it at first either but-" I begin to say but I'm cut off by Neal.

"I'm back" he says.

I look at with confusion now.

"What?" I ask.

"This is my home. This where I grew up. The place full of magic. Do you not remember Molly?" he says.

"No I remember it's just....." I say but eventually it strays off.
