she wanted to be a bird. as beautiful as can be. a peacock with its feathers deeply tucked. so the eyes of marmalade orange and ocean blue weren't sunrising above her naked neck. so her beauty remained hidden but I could see it. I could always see it. whether it was pleasing to the eye, or dropping tears from mine. 

she was a bird. as beautiful as can be. as still as a cardinal stone. that was picked up and used then put back when the time reached its desirable point as the cycle repeated. she didn't mind. as long as it brought as smile, she was fine. but she wasn't fine.
