Rumplestiltskin, Ruby, and Jefferson all exited Ruby's car and entered the sheriff's station, breathless and shaken. They turned the corner just as Emma was exiting her office. "I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told you an hour ago, I haven't seen her," Emma said, looking up from her file.
"Oh, Gold." Emma had not seen him since he had been cast out by Belle and she was surprised at how downtrodden he looked now.
"You guys went to the Dark One for help?" Emma asked, narrowing her eyes at Ruby and Jefferson and sighing.
"This is about Alice, correct?" Rumple asked fingering the file in Emma's hand. She handed it over to him. Enclosed were state issued photos of Alice along with an extensive medical history that had been released, Emma was certain, by mistake. She furrowed her brow as Henry appeared at the head of the hall.
"Hey, kid. I'll be outside in a sec." She then looked to Rumple who was still looking at the photo of Alice.
"Is there something I should know about?" she asked, her eyes flipping from them to him.
"Alice is his daughter and he knows where she is." Ruby supplied quickly as Rumple looked up and handed Emma the file.
"That's great, where is she?" Emma's blue eyes held a hesitant, but genuine worry for Alice and she hoped this wasn't just another dead lead that would no doubt break Jefferson.
"She's where you've been looking all along. That old dog has her right under our noses." Rumple said, sighing.
"So Cruella does have her....but I checked everywhere and I couldn't find her," Emma added, puzzled.
"Did you check the basement?" Emma sighed and looked at Jefferson who, if he hadn't been so distraught, would have given her an I-told-you-so-look.
"We are going to get my daughter back, but we are going to need your help," Rumple said, pointing to Emma.
"Operation Alice." Everyone jumped at Henry's proximity and interjection to the conversation. He gave a small smile and held up the storybook.
"Alright, let's go."
