Chapter 7 : Way Back Into Love

Lux's POV

I remember when I first went to Valoran High School, so many students, teachers, and butterflies flying inside my stomach.

I went in my classroom and sat in the middle row, with Janna on my right and Jinx on my left.

I didn't know that you have to introduce yourself to the whole class, so once again, my stomach was still filled with butterflies, but going to school means keeping a low profile from what we truly are, so I have no choice...

Jinx was next, and I sure hope that she won't tell about the whole Star Guardian thing.

"My name's Jinx, but you can call me anything you want 'cause I don't really care..." She introduced herself while her hands are on the back of her head.

Phew! Good thing she didn't really care about giving more details...

When Jinx was finish, I was shaking in fear. I stood up and said, "Uuhhh, m-my na-name is Lu-Luxanna, but y-you can ca-call me Lux..." Suddenly, I felt better.

But this time in the auditorium, it was worst! Everyone was quiet while I was standing in the middle of the stage, sweating and shaking in fear.

"Come on, you can do it..." Ms. Veronica encouraged me to sing while Ahri looked at her fingernails, Janna gave me two thumbs up, and everyone else was waiting for me to sing.

Ez was beside me, shaking in fear like I do, but when he looked at me, it's like all his problems went away and forced himself to smile, so I smiled back. 

Before I volunteered, Ms. Veronica said every girl needs a partner for the audition, when everyone picked theirs, even Janna, I was stuck with Ez, so I had no choice...

I sighed in defeat and stared at my song paper, the pianist started to play the piano with the tune of the song.

Lux's Verse
~I've been living with a shadow overhead.
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed.
I've been lonely for so long. Trapped in the past, I just can't seem to move on...

Ezreal's Verse
I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away.
Just in case I ever need 'em again someday.

To clear a little space in the corners of my mind.

Moments later, we finished the song and everyone was silent, even Ahri.

I didn't even know Ez can sing so, how can I say this.....Gracefully.

Someone clapped in the back row and a few seconds later, everyone started clapping.

I blushed when Ez gave me a shy smile while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Bravo! Bravo! You guys are like Stars Shining above us! You may now go down the stage and enjoy the rest of the audition..." Ms. Veronica clapped and wiped her glasses using her brown and light blue-striped cardigan around her neck.
