"I'd rather have a beast who treats me like a princess than a prince who doesn't." - This has nothing to do with the story, but I like it so here it is.
Pic is of a hotel ;) (I bet y'all are surprised it's not a couple hehe)
Omniscient P.O.V
Kaden was in his office, getting his documents ready for travel and Hazel was in the bedroom packing. They were leaving in about two hours and none of them were really prepared.
As Hazel was folding her shirts a voice caught her attention.
"Look at you. Getting abused by everyone," taunted Elijah.
She spun around and looked at him, dumbfounded.
"Why are you here?" Hazel questioned, trying to sound unaffected.
Elijah slammed her body against the wall. Hazel's breathing escalated as Elijah put his face close to her neck.
"Because darling, I want you," he whispered, his hot breath fanning over her soft skin.
Hazel pushed him off with all her force and he stumbled back before turning into a cloud of dark purple smoke. She started breathing deeply and slowly sank to the floor. Hazel hugged her knees into her chest and slowly started to cry. Come to think of it, she had done a lot of crying ever since she came here.
She immediately recomposed herself and began folding again. Hazel didn't want Kaden to know anything was wrong with her.
Once she was all packed, Kaden and her drove to the airport and got on Kaden's private jet.
The entire time Kaden kept asking Hazel if she wanted anything or if she was comfortable. She knew he was trying to apologize but the amount of attention he was giving her was overwhelming.

Elijah appeared in his mansion in South Dakota.
"MARK!" he shouted.
Mark appeared at the door instantly.
"Yes?" he asked.
"Why is it, that everytime I see her I go weak?" he asked.
Mark was surprised at the question and even more at the way he asked it. His shoulders were sagged and his voice was quiet; it didn't have it's normal authority, but instead sounded vulnerable. Mark has never seen Elijah like this and he had been working for him for a long time. Mark knew that a certain werewolf had cause him to be like this.
"I don't know sir." Mark replied with a small smirk.
Elijah looked at his employee's face and rolled his eyes.
"You have the rest of the day off." Elijah dismissed him with a wave of the hand.
"Thank you sir." and with that Mark left the room.
Elijah ran a hand over his face. What was he to do about Hazel?

Kaden sat on the plane looking at his mate. He decided to cancel the pit stop to South Dakota, thinking that having Hazel and Elijah in the same state would be a stretch.
She was reading a book, her hair in a messy bun. Kaden checked the time and noticed that they would be landing in five minutes.
"Hazel we are landing soon," he told her.
Hazel nodded her head but kept on reading as she slowly slipped on her Converse. Kaden chuckled at he cuteness and tied his Timbs.
They landed and got out of the plane.
Where were they? Hazel wondered, and where were their luggages?
"Where are our bags?" she asked him.
"They are already at the hotel." he replied.
She nodded and followed him to the black taxi which drove through a beautiful city. Hazel suddenly recognized where they were. Kaden must have noticed her eyes widening in realization because he chuckled and whispered in ear,
"Welcome to Paris babygirl."
Hazel smiled so wide and squealed. She jumped out of her seat and hugged and Kaden, not caring about the past anymore. She didn't mean to be so easily persuaded, but she had always wanted to go and no one had ever done this for her.
Yes, she hadn't totally forgiven him but he was off to a good start.
The couple laughed and the driver, who was an elderly man, smiled at them through the rear view mirror.
They finally made it to the hotel and to say it was beautiful would be an understatement. There was a large fountain in the front and since it was dark outside it was lit up with white lights. The exterior was made of gray bricks and it looked astoundingly vintage, but gorgeous. There were green trees around the perimeter and English ivy was growing up on the left side. It had to be at least ten stories high.
"It's beautiful," she whispered under her breath.
"It's nothing compared to you." Kaden replied. He became even more satisfied when he saw her cheeks became pink.
He held out his hand,
"Come on. Let's get to our room."
He payed the driver and they walked hand in hand to the front desk.
They walked inside and Hazel became self conscious in her jeans and sweater. There was a theme of gold and cream on the inside and everyone was in business/ party attire. Kaden was fine in his smart black dress shirt and dark wash jeans.
Kaden let go of her hand and went to the front desk to get their room key. He came back and they went to their room using the elevator.
A small gasp filled the five-star hotel room and it belonged the Hazel. It was beautiful. There was a bouquet of roses on the night stand next to her luggage and she looked at Kaden with shock. She was speechless.
"I know it's not going to fix everything, but I am really trying." Kaden pleaded.
Hazel knew he was truly sorry. She walked up to him and Kaden slowly put out a hand to caress her face, the side he had slapped.
His eyes flooded with guilt when he saw her flinch and he put his hand back down immediately. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable. Hazel looked down after she flinched. Even though he did hit her, Kaden was her mate and the bond made her hate seeing him upset.
She fought the urge the flinch again as she grabbed his hand and brought it up to her face. Kaden's eyes searched her's, making sure she was okay. Hazel smiled at him and his heart skipped a beat. Hazel was breathtaking.
"Hazel, we need to talk about your dad." Kaden said. It was true. They did need to talk about it.
"No we don't." Hazel whispered, her eyes slowly growing cold and empty. But then they were
refilled with the same warmth and kindness and she whispered,
"Don't ruin this for me, please? I promise I'll talk to you about him, but not right now." Hazel pleaded, the pain evident in her voice and the crease between her perfect eyebrows.
Kaden nodded and then proceeded the kiss his beloved mate.
