"Your smile is literally the cutest thing in the world" - I know it's late. I'm just warning you this chapter is lowkey terrible.
Pic is of another couple even though I'm crying because I have no possible chance of a relationship in the future

Elijah looked at Dianne and furrowed his eyebrows.
"We are not mates Dianne. Vampires don't have mates," he said standing up. He eyed her warily. Her eyes were sincere and that confused him even more.
"Vampires don't have mates, but werewolves do." she said looking at him with hope in her eyes.
"How do I know you are not lying?" he questioned.
"Would I have brought you back to life? Vampires and werewolves are sworn enemies," Dianne said, inching closer to him.
She reached out and touched his hand. Butterflies ignited in his stomach and he felt giddy. Elijah was royally confused. With Hazel he felt warm and caring but with Dianne he felt excited and devious. Which one would he choose? The logical one would be Dianne but he needed to see Hazel one last time.
Elijah looked down at Dianne and realized how truly beautiful she was. He didn't realize it before but things were in a new light now. Maybe he could live without Hazel.

Hazel and Kaden lay in bed. Her head is resting on his bare chest and his hand is caressing he smooth skin. The sheets were a mess and they were both breathing heavily. The both of them lay there in complete silence, just enjoying each other's company.
Kaden looked down at his princess. Her skin glowed and her brown hair lay in waves, covering his arm. She was magnificent. He loved her so much it hurt to think about what he would do without her in his life.
Hazel repositioned her head so she could look up at her mate, who was already staring at her. She blushed and cast her eyes downward. She looked back up at him again and slowly moved her body.
Kaden looked at her and couldn't take it anymore. He kissed her again, pressing her to his chest. Her hands found his chiseled face and then his silky black hair. She tugged it and a low groan emanated from his chest.
Hazel pulled away, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"I need to shower." she whispered and then pulled away. Kaden groaned but let her go.
Hazel grabbed a towel before heading to the bathroom and turning on the shower. She stepped inside and blushed as she remember what happened last night. She was so happy that they had finally completed the mating process and she knew that Kaden was happy as well. Very happy.
She was brought out of thought by large hands wrapping around her waist. Hazel turned around and kissed Kaden, giggling. Kaden smiled and pressed her against the tile.
"You can't get rid of me that easily," he growled in her ear and then began to worship her body like the goddess she was to him.
After their very steamy shower they ate breakfast and then Kaden had work to do. Hazel sat on his lap, bored. Kaden wouldn't let her leave his side.
"Kaden," she said.
"Yes?"
"I need to pee." she said.
"There's a bathroom in my office right there," he said gesturing to the right side of the room,
where there was indeed a bathroom.
"I'm also hungry." Hazel said, looking for a way to leave.
As much as she loved Kaden, she had been sitting on his lap for two hours and was incredibly bored. Not to mention the fact that her butt hurt.
"I'll call someone to get something for you."
Hazel sighed in defeat and Kaden looked over at her questioningly.
"You know I love you," Hazel started to explain, "but I've been sitting on your lap for two hours and I'm bored." she finished looking at her hands.
"Well, what do you want to do?" he asked, putting down his pen.
"I don't know, something." she replied.
"Baby, you need to tell me. I have work to do."
"It's fine, you can stay here but let me go to the kitchen to get food? Please?" Hazel begged.
"Fine. But only twenty minutes or I'm taking you back to our room." he growled, finally giving in.
"Thank you." Hazel said and then proceeded to pepper kisses along his jaw.
"Princess, I suggest you stop doing that if you like the shirt you are wearing."
Hazel gasped and felt the heat rush to her cheeks and Kaden smirked. She pulled herself off his lap and went to the kitchen smiling. There, she made herself a ham sandwich and poured herself a glass of orange juice.
She finished her meal quickly, since Kaden only gave her twenty minutes, and rushed back to his office. On the way back she passed the front door and heard a loud thud. She stopped in her track and turned her head towards the mahogany rectangle.
Padding over to it, she looked around before opening the door. She expected someone to be there, but there was nothing. Hazel looked around and a piece of white caught her attention. On the steps was a letter with neat calligraphy on it.
She read the sender address: "Mark Kensington"
That was it. No address, just a name. Hazel then remembered the vampire she had somewhat befriended when she was kidnapped. What would he want?
Remembering Kaden, Hazel quickly folded up the letter and put it in her pocket before rushing to Kaden's office.
She opened the door and Kaden was sitting there looking at his watch.
"Nineteen minutes and thirty-six seconds." he said with a teasing smile.
"You are impossible," Hazel grinned sitting on his lap.
"But you love me," he whispered in her ear, "and I love you back even more."
